About Erika Kotite
I am Erika Kotite; my family and I are the fortunate new owners of Bodega Bay Birdwatch. I grew up in Sonoma County and although I have lived elsewhere most of my life since college, my husband and three children and I come back frequently to visit ... because we all love it. I am an author of several books about she sheds and love reading, travel and cooking. The Union Hotel in Occidental is my favorite place to eat above all others - ask my entire family.

This place is gorgeous and you'll never want to leave. The views are amazing both up and downstairs. The kitchen is so fun to cook in and has everything you need, even some spices. The whole place was done very well with great attention to detail. For example the deck and the way they did the railings to preserve the view! All the windows! And you can walk right down to the water and out onto the muddy harbor at low tide. We even did some clamming! The only tiny thing about this place is we actually found the 104 degree hot tub too hot for us to handle so we didn't enjoy it as much as we wanted to. There was no way to turn it down. I did however take some great baths with an amazing view.
It was nice. We enjoyed ourselves. The bed was not comfortable at all. The t.v downstairs only had 1 tv channel available. Was. Ot the cleanest place we have ever stayed in.
The location was nice. No neighbors.
Windows did not all work. Screens fell in when we tried to open them. One of the handles fell off in our hand.
Probably would stay somewhere else next time. Not worth the money
Dear Jeramie, Thank you for the constructive comments; we will look into these issues and strive to improve. Our crew usually spends 6-8 hours cleaning the home and polishing the windows after each visit so we are surprised it did not seem spotless. The upstairs TV is the primary watching area, with 200+ channels as well as Netflix to choose from. But we appreciate you alerting us to the problems you had. We hope that you consider staying with us again.
Beautiful home and a great place to run away to if you want to experience a relaxing peaceful experience.
Enjoyed our 2nd stay at Bird's Nest. Very relaxing!
We came back to stay at this wonderful home, and again, celebrated another milestone wedding anniversay. Enjoyed spending a quiet, peaceful and relaxing time at Bird's Nest and look forward to a future return.
Already planning a trip back!
We had a fantastic relaxing stay, just what we hoped for. The description on the website was perfect and then some. Erika was very responsive to any question I had. Everything was very clean and organized. Kevin brought us a bottle of wine and Peet’s Coffee. The view and weather was perfect. Bodega Bay is a wonderful little town and easy to get to. Loved our time away and will be back.
Thank you Erika and Kevin
