Beautiful Historic Home!
You should stay here for the architecture alone. I spent 15 minutes admiring the doors - the hinges are engraved! I have never seen a stairway with that kind of design and detail. It was fun to imagine what life was like for the original owners of “The Bricktorian” in the 1800s. My granddaughters LOVED the attic room replete with children’s library, giant beanbag chair and it’s own bathroom. They also loved the dual stairways from the main floor to the second. They called the one off the kitchen their “secret stairs” and they played hide-and-seek with each other on all 3 levels. The king bed is very comfortable; I didn’t hear any complaints about any of the beds either. Although the home is old, the kitchen and bathrooms function well. One morning one of my granddaughters woke up early and we read books together on the little sofa in the sitting room. We all want to make memories on our vacations. In this case, the home itself is memorable.
Excellent place to stay in downtown Philipsburg.
We loved staying in your beautiful house. It is well appointed. Well maintained and decorated as though it was 1910. I highly recommend this rental.
Excellent option for a group
The home was well furnished and met our needs. The multiple sleeping options on the 2nd and 3rd floor gave lots of room to spread out and accommodate individuals. Even the angled shower on the third floor worked out and provided interesting stories on how the taller folk angled themselves to adapt. We appreciated the cookware, dishes and storage options in the kitchen which worked well for the cooks that provided excellent meals. One caveat: the french press coffee maker was not to most of our liking. It would have been great for 2 or 3 folks but 7 people needing multiple cups of coffee to start the morning found it eventually to be just irritating. It would be useful to have a basic coffeemaker provided or to advise renters to bring their own if the charm of a french press is lost on them.
Spread out or good for large group
Very interesting house with many amenities convenient to town. Lots of bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Awesome stay in a historic home!
Thank you for sharing your historic home with us and allow us to make some great memories.
Comfortable and Charming
David and Becky were such great hosts. The 132 year old "Brictorian" has been updated and our group of 8 throughly enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely recommend.
