About Charlie Sproule
We have a romantic history with Jim Thorpe. Family of ours owned hotels and a bottling company during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As sometimes happens, the accountant ran away with all the money, so we just get to look at our lost inheritance and think about what might have been. Jim Thorpe was the first place we vacationed together as a couple and was the site of our wedding ceremony on a gorgeous May day. It's a place where our family toiled in the mines and in the sewing factory and raised their kids. It’s where every street had a bar and a church and people you dated had to live within walking distance. Now, Jim Thorpe is about artists, adventure and the art of dining, all of which we believe in and support. We can mountain bike, hike or antique and then dine on American cuisine or attend the strawberry festival at a local church. We like it all and are local business owners in the town and committed to its continuing success.

Second stay, loved it!
This was the second time we stayed at this house while visiting Jim Thorpe and we will stay here in the future. It meets our needs for our weekend away, it’s very conveniently located, the hosts are helpful and friendly, and the price is right!
House was located right on the main road which made everything within walking distance

Great place with super convenient location.
Had a great time with my wife and daughter. We look forward to staying again. Be sure to check out the Stone Row Pub and Eatery.
Great house, lots of space, great location!
We came to Jim Thorpe for a girls getaway and the house was perfect. Plenty of space, stocked with all the basic necessities and the owner was incredibly friendly and flexible.
I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but once we got there, all was good. The owner helped with a last minute, early, check-in. Helped us with parking and extra parking. Some reviews talked about dust, I saw none. The house is old and decorated to this era, but it’s fun, funky and clean. I would stay here again, hands down.
Nice and Charming Townhouse! Great Downtown Location! Beautiful Town!
Everything is as pictured/described or better! Charles is an amazing host! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay is as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend!
