About Noe' Anna Bonas

I bought and cleared the land, designed the home for my large extended family to enjoy vacations. The house was completed in 2002 and I have enjoyed this part of Hawaii ever since.

Like me, many visitors have not wanted to miss out on this rejuvenating village, away from the crowded streets of town, to discover where the locals come to eat, drink and relax here at Kealakekua Bay with family and friends.

It does not take long for vacationers to soon treasure this place best known to the locals…. for its feeling of being “home”. There is no place like it…

On the first floor there is a separate care-takers apt.

Noe' Anna Bonas purchased this house in 2000

We had the perfect week at this beautiful home. The location is stunning. It feels like a sancutary sitting on the lanai looking out at the treetops and the many colourful birds that surround. The home itself was well stocked, we had everything we needed and more. The rooms are bright and cozy. The beds were comfy and there was ample space for the six of us who stayed there and our families when they visited. The energey in thenhome is beautiful, creative, and light. The perfect place tomreturn tomafter a day of exploring. By the end of the week it felt like home. The bay is gorgeous and and only steps away. Just down the road, manini beach park, is a truely special place.

I cannot say enough good things about this space and the lovely hosts. They were so graciois and helpful on every account, as well as just beautiful, interesting people. Thank you so much for what was a one of a kind, magical stay.

Mahalo and we hope to see you again someday!

Beautiful home minutes from bay

  • 5 of 5

Eight of my family members and I were here for 9 days, and we really enjoyed the house. Mornings and evenings on the lanai were lovely, and several of us walked to Manini Beach multiple times a day. Anna was a gracious host who went above and beyond to try to resolve an issue arising from an error in the listing. There were two aspects of the house layout that didn't work for us: there is only one full bath accessible from the hallway, so we had two people using one bath and seven using the other; and the great room (where I was sleeping) doesn't have a door, so I woke up as soon as the earliest riser did anything in the kitchen. Overall though it's a great house; I highly recommend it.

Great family vacation getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Anna was so hospitable, we enjoyed our stay immensely... We had a large family Christmas, and thoroughly utilized the outdoor BBQ and dinner table, as well as the large upstairs for the children's evening talent shows! This house is in a great location for exploring the area; Manini Beach is within walking distance, and Honaunau Bay is a great snorkeling spot only 4 miles away. With the farmers' market a short drive up the hill and various fruit stands up there as well, we were well situated to enjoy local produce. We totally enjoyed our winter vacation here!

This property was great and fit our group.

  • 5 of 5

This was a great experience, the house was well maintained and furnished. We had a group of 15, two families that travel together and are active. The proximity to the bay was great, had easy access and accessories to enjoy the water. The owner and caretaker were great to deal with and accommodating to our needs, really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Great house for larger group.

  • 5 of 5

The house worked really well for our extended family of eleven, six adults and five children. The kitchen is large enough for our eating routine which was breakfast and lunch on the go for our three families, while dinner was eaten together on the lanai. We were comfortable with the older kids walking the five minute distance to Manini beach on their own. The snorkeling at two step beach (ten minutes by car) is in a class of its own. Also, had a wonderful time at the Place of Refuge where the annual cultural festival took place over two days. In summary, spacious accommodation inside and a restful setting outside on the lanai surrounded by palm leaves.

What a beautiful experience

  • 5 of 5

I feel very lucky that we found this beautiful house to rent for the week. The house accommodated our family of 9 just fine - plenty of room, especially with the beautiful Lanai. We enjoyed all of our meals on the Lanai and there was lots of fun and laughter. The area itself is really special. To rent a home on Kealakekua Bay is wonderful as it is known around the world and is almost always listed on the top 10 things to do on the big Island. So very much to see in the area - You can see the dolphins (which is just a short walk) at about 8:15AM. You can also walk down to a very nice park anytime and enjoy the water and beautiful surroundings. There is a nice beach with white sand, which is a short distance (ask Anna about it), perfect snorkeling spot - so nice to be able to snorkel from shore and see the kinds of fish that we did. My father in law is the type of person who gets bored on vacation and is ready to go home after about 4 or 5 days, but he didn't want to leave, there is literally so much to do and see. Everyone in my family said what made the vacation so special was the fact that we were so close to the water and had access to everything that Kealakekua Bay has to offer. This location was perfect - And honestly the ease of access to the water, to the town, and to everything on the island while still giving us the option to be away from the crowds was everything to us. We felt really at home and Anna accommodated our family in every way imaginable. The refrigerator wasn't working when we got there, but she had a new one by the end of the day. You will never have to worry that you wont be able to get a hold of anyone if you run into a problem, Anna goes above and beyond and is always reachable. She is very trustworthy. There is a National Park close by, Volcano National Park is about 75-80 miles away (the drive goes fast), great Luau very close, Manta Ray dive was a big hit with my husband and nephew - If you are on the fence about where to stay you can end your search here because you have found the perfect place.
