About Noe' Anna Bonas

I bought and cleared the land, designed the home for my large extended family to enjoy vacations. The house was completed in 2002 and I have enjoyed this part of Hawaii ever since.

Like me, many visitors have not wanted to miss out on this rejuvenating village, away from the crowded streets of town, to discover where the locals come to eat, drink and relax here at Kealakekua Bay with family and friends.

It does not take long for vacationers to soon treasure this place best known to the locals…. for its feeling of being “home”. There is no place like it…

Noe' Anna Bonas purchased this house in 2000

Why Noe' Anna Bonas chose Kona Coast

Once you are here at our home in Kealakekua Bay, on the big Island of Hawaii..

You can enjoy the sound of the ocean, birds, feel the sweet Kona air…and you don't have to get in the car to enjoy swimming in Kealakekua Bay.. walk to where you want to enter the bay…it is a delightful experience to go swimming with the dolphins in the bay in the morning..

This area of Hawaii is away from the crowds ,, no hotels…just outdoor enjoyment, in the water and out.

If you want to shop, join the crowds..hop in the car go up the road….then return..thankful that you are home again…rejuvenating, renewing being happy again.

We invite you and all who want to respect our home, neighbors, and enjoy the peace of our surroundings.

I can’t wait to return, thank you, your home is beautiful. The location is perfect. It will be a memorable vacation, for all of us for many years to come, from my parents to our children’s children. We all had fun. The house is perfect for our extended group. And the Bay..The dolphins and Kayaking was spectacular! My parent’s held hands and walked everywhere, and enjoyed the sunsets..

Thanks again…, Janine

Heaven in Hawaii

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I (Judd and Faye) spent a week and enjoyed every moment. The house is beautiful, clean, well decorated just a few steps from the lovely Kealakua Bay beach, a short drive to shopping, the airport, town, and lots of interesting touring. There is so much to recommend about the house and nothing negative. We ate every meal on the deck enjoying the warm breeze and a beautiful view of the beach. We have fond memories, plan to return and have recommended the house to several friends.

P.S. it is fun to watch the Geckos that are plentiful.

Peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this wonderful house in November. The first thing I noticed when I arrived at the house is the beautiful landscape surrounding the house; it's an engaging tropical paradise. Entering the house was just as engaging.... clean, airy and spacious, but the most engaging thing was the feeling of it being peaceful.

There are stairs that go from the ground level to the main floor, but the best part is an elevator that does the same... so don't worry if you have packed big suitcases and stopped at Costco on your way to the house.

At the top of the stairs is a large lanai with a dining table that can easily accommodate ten. The lanai is also a wonderful place to sit on the lounge chairs and just enjoy the surroundings. The high ceilings and windows in the open kitchen and living room provide a feeling of openness and light. The kitchen is ready for those who only want to make a cup of coffee or cook a full-course meal. Or you can bbq on the large, covered lanai on the ground level. The three bedrooms on the main floor are well situated and can accommodate six people with a feeling of privacy and space. But, my favorite part of the house is the upstairs bedroom/great room. There is a feeling of openness and light and space. There is a sliding glass door to a lanai that opens to the mountain side of the house and a sliding glass door to a lanai that opens to the ocean side. From the room, you can see Kealakekua Bay... a beautiful and tranquil sight. And, actually, you can hear the ocean from both the main and top floors. The top room is a wonderful place for children or young adults to have their own space away from the adults, and is arranged to easily and comfortably accommodate another five adults or children.

The house is located just a couple of minutes walk to the bay, so no need to try and find a parking place! And, if you don't know... this is the bay where people come to swim with the dolphins! Oh... and the house comes equipped with kayaks!!

It's very common for Hawaiian houses to not have air conditioning, but there can be a concern about whether a house has enough air circulation. Not for this house however! High ceilings, lots of windows, sliding glass doors and ceiling fans keep the house at a very comfortable temperature.

The owner is a wonderful person... no need to worry about making your reservation and knowing everything will be what you expect.

Perfect spot for a family getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect in every way, making our family holiday a great success. We enjoyed all our meals on the spacious lanai, slept well in the comfortable beds with tropical breezes blowing through the windows (no need for air conditioning), and fully enjoyed all the nearby spots for snorkelling and wandering. The location is great - accessible from the airport and also easy driving distances to other attractions like Volcanoes National Park, the green sand beach, Keauhou (for Manta Ray night snorkel) and downtown Kona-Kailua. We would highly recommend this rental house, especially for family groups (lots of room, well set-up both inside and out) ... thanks for a lovely holiday!

We loved the house from the moment we saw it

  • 5 of 5

Hello Anna

We loved the house from the moment we saw it. Plenty of space for our extended family of 8, fully-equipped kitchen, great to have washer/dryer and also beach chairs, etc.. We walked to the beaches several times a day, did a little snorkeling, listened to the birds, soaked up the quiet and the warm fresh air. Meals took some planning, as stores/restaurants are up the hill 15-20 minutes, but we settled into that and appreciated it as well. We are so grateful for this opportunity to enjoy a special part of Hawaii!

Just about perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 8 days and had a wonderful time. The house easily accommodated our party of 15 and worked great for all ages (1-year-old baby to 69 year-old grandpa). We found the entire house very clean when we arrived and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has a good stove, refrigerator and dishwasher and is arranged so it is easy to work in. The center island is large and makes a good place for serving. There are lots and lots of pot and pans, bowls, utensils, plates, etc.

When we were there there were several boxes of snorkeling equipment, kids beach toys and a couple of kayaks all of which we made use of.

The big lanai off the living room/kitchen is especially inviting and we spent a lot of time there relaxing, talking, eating and playing games. The yard is large and lovely with lots of beautiful flowers and coconut and papaya trees. The house feels secluded even though there are several houses nearby. All the foliage blocks the other houses.

It is close to the ocean and there are areas within a couple of minutes easy walk that are safe and interesting for babies, children and adults. We saw spinner dolphins in the morning, snorkeled and kayaked later in the day. The tide pools at Manini Beach are fascinating.

We found the owner and manager both to be easy to work with and quick to respond to emails.

We would recommend it and would love to go back ourselves.

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Aloha Anna

Thank you so much for opening you lovely home for another perfect vacation for our family, I appreciate the care and attention to detail which helps made our stay so wonderful. Our extended family group was larger than last year and everyone felt that your home was a perfect, and grateful for walk to Kealakekua bay for my parents. We all love being able walk to the bay in the morning for an early snorkel and come back to the house without getting into a car. It is so cold at home now, so the warmth and beauty of the house and bay will continue to warm us. We love the bamboo floors on the 3rd floor, beautiful.

My parents used the elevator daily, what a great invention.

Looking forward to our return in July.

Aloha E.VK

Owner's Response: E.VK. Mahalo nui loa, Thank you very much, for your stay and care We look forward to your return. And, yes the elevator has been helpful for several guests. I use is for bringing luggage upstairs and groceries into the kitchen. I agree with you, our home is very spacious to accommodate large groups and families. I just came from being there at the house for 2 weeks and didn’t want to leave. I love listening to the waves coming into the shore at night, the gentle breezes swaying through the palms, and listening to the birds singing. The tropical elements become a meditation for my senses. It feels very healing being there. I love our home and the area, and sharing these wonderful experiences that touch others so deeply. Every story I hear from our guests of how being there at the house while enjoying area, swimming in the warm water at Manini Beach is so amazing and awe-inspiring for their family, it makes me feel that sharing our home has made a dream come true for so many. Hearing these stories from our guests is a gift that is truly heart opening. It’s great to feel that I helped someone feel happy while created happy feelings of connections and fun for their family and friends. What could be better? Thank you, I’ll keep the light on for your return. Warm aloha Anna
