We came up for a conference in Pigeon Forge. This cabin was secluded from all the hustle and bustle, but yet close enough to enjoy everything. I absolutely loved the view of the mountains and the ability to still see the fireworks at Hollywood! I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.
The weekend was spectacular! We rented this lodge for a women's retreat. There is a guest house that we did not need which does give you more room. We had 22 ladies and there was plenty of beds in the rooms and bathrooms (we even had enough hot water for all the showers). There is a pool table and air hockey table as well. Every lady had very positive things say from how clean it was to the beautiful lodge itself and the absolutely beautiful scenic view even before springtime. There are 2 kitchens but the main level kitchen was all we needed. When we arrived the maintenance guy was there to meet us and had everything ready including the hot tub. We loved the movie theater on the first floor so that we could cheer on our Kentucky Wildcat Basketball team to end the regular season 31-0! It was only a short drive to the outlet centers and Apple Barn but there is a grocery and Walgreen's very near the lodge just in case you forgot something. The owner was very easy to work with and very hospitable. She texted while we were there to make sure everything was going ok. I would highly recommend staying here!
What a wonderful family Christmas with memories that will last a lifetime. Our 4 grown sons, 3 wives, one girlfriend and 7 grandkids (5 thru 5 mos) joined us at the cabin for a week. Everything was beyond our expectations! Privacy is important to us and with all the acreage we had the solitude we needed. The views were beyond belief, the cabin itself was beautiful: wonderful fireplaces, movie theatre, kitchen, great room and a little girls room with toys-costumes for boys as well-toy kitchen-a treasure trove for our grand kids!!!! We enjoyed the hot tub but especially the fire pit where we spent a great deal of time. We went thru 1/2 cord of wood. The week went too fast and my little grand kids want to live there with their cousins and aunts and uncles-that says it all. We will return. Thanks Kay and Frank!
We had a family reunion at this cabin nine years ago and when it came time to book another family retreat in 2014, everyone was very agreeable to returning! There is lots to do on property like fishing, hiking & sitting by the campfire but honestly we were all perfectly happy swinging & rocking on the porch enjoying the view, watching family videos & looking at pictures in the cozy living area or catching up with family while cooking in the well supplied kitchen or eating at the large family dinner table. Kay was oh so pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend this beautiful home for a group getaway!
We held a family reunion at this cabin and had a wonderful stay. Ages in our group ranged from 2 years old to 50. Everyone had a fabulous weekend. We enjoyed hiking on the trails and having a campfire at the large fire pit. The cabin was clean, spacious with very comfortable beds. The owner and caretaker were readily available for any and all questions. The views were amazing. I would highly recommend this cabin.
We traveled with 16 adults and 9 kids (ages 3 months to 6 years) and the place was just about perfect. The house itself is incredibly charming- the pictures do not do it justice. All of the rooms are pretty spacious (the "girls" room upstairs was particularly large- as big as the master + a closet stocked with toys). The wrap-around porch was an endless source of amusement- the kids chased each other for an hour before dinner every night. The fire pit area (set about 100 yards from the house) was a great surprise as well. And they have a little trail cut around the property- a hilly 20 minute walk was a nice way to start and end the day.
On the downside, the hot water smells pretty bad. It wasn't too much of an issue for a 4 day stay, but it could be if you're there longer. And there was no pantry in the kitchen- so we had to scramble and rearrange all of the cabinets so that we could store our food.
But, bottom line, we will be back.
