About Ana McCaughey

My husband and I live in Paris and we love to spend time in our house in Provence. We bought the house over 10 years ago after a visit to the region, which we instantly fell in love with.

Ana McCaughey purchased this house in 2006

Why Ana McCaughey chose Ménerbes

We bought our house in Provence because we fell in love with this region, with the people, the culture and its wonderful climate.

We are in one of the most charming and beautiful regions of France with the calming and relaxing nature and authenticity of Provence all around.

What makes this house unique

Our house is atypique in that it is uniquely presevered in the Provence style without having undergone a modern transformation that eliminates the charm and authenticity of the Provence experience. In particular the original stone work as well as unique features internally which ensure our house has a natural ability to adjust to the seasons and charm the whole year round.

Nice and cozy place in Provence

  • 4 of 5

I was a guest for Easter holidays last year. The days I've spent in this house were quite pleasant. The house is comfortable and quiet. It's good location allowed me to go about the region and see a good number of nice places and restaurants around. It has a brand new pool but at that time it was still too chilly to take a swim! :-). The region is very good for biking too.

The Luberon, situated in the South, is considered to be one of France’s most beautiful regions. It sits in the heart of Provence. The area is known for many wonderful aspects including gastronomy and ancient French villages of a charming nature, many of which are officially listed as “village de charme” by the French patrimoine. Our house is situated in a small hamlet at the foot of the beautiful village of Menerbes. The area is also well known for the tales recounted in Peter Mayle’s book “A Year in Provence”.

The house has four bedrooms with a possibility for a fifth. Two of the bedrooms are adult bedrooms and two are suitable for children. The house has a distinct character and charm in keeping with the region and is fully equipped with all facilities to make your holiday an easy and relaxing one.

The house is easily accessible by high speed train to Avignon or by plane to Marseille.
