Dalcraig offers all the comforts of the highest standard of a self catering property in Glencoe and lots more. This property is furnished to a very high standard throughout, has Sky Tv and a 60' plasma Tv for those who enjoy a little ! Tv in the evening. Dalcraig House is the only 5 Star ( LOCHSIDE) property in Glencoe!

Within Dalcraig you will find lots of extras not normally seen in self catering properties, it really is a home from home property. With two bed rooms, one twin and one double , both en-suite all on the second floor, a large Sitting room a separate dining room and a beautiful fully fitted Kitchen equipped to the highest of standards all on the ground floor, you will appreciate from the minute the door is opened to this property that quality is of the utmost importance, ensuring our holiday makers have quality accommodation and a truly memorable stay in the Highlands.

Accommodation Details: The Ground Floor of this property offers a Large Sitting Room with breathtaking loch views , the sitting room is furnished to an extremely high standard, with wool carpeting throughout and large Leather sofas and beautiful lighting, the sitting room also has a large feature Marble fireplace. The Sitting Room has as standard a large 60' plasma colour T.V , video and mini-hifi, satellite Tv.

Kitchen Area: The Kitchen is full fitted out with oak units and is complimented with underlighting and spotlighting on the ceiling. In terms of equipment all crockery and kitchen utensils are provided and are of a very high quality. The Kitchen has an electric range cooker, three ovens and is fully fitted out with; micro-wave and combi oven,fridge, freezer, washerdrier , dishwasher, etc we even have a food processor installed for your convenience!

Dining Room: From the moment you arrive a very warm welcome awaits you. The dining area can accommodate five persons in comfort and it is completely separate from the sitting room.

Bedrooms: Excellent views over Loch Leven and to the hills beyond can be seen from the master bedroom and beautiful hill views can bee seen from the twin room. All bed linen and limited towels will be provided for your stay with us at Dalcraig House. Both bed rooms are furnished to a 5 Star STB /high standard and both are en-suite.

Cancellation of any booking with Glencoe Highland Holidays, please note all deposits and all payments received by Glencoe Highland Holidays in respect of any reservation are strictly non refundable, we therefore strongly suggest that you take our cancellation insurance for any unfortunate cancellation which you may have to make, we can if required suggest a very good company to which we have worked closely with from time to time and to which we have found operate in a very professional manner

Please note our advertised prices are for couples only- we add £100 to the reservation if there is more than two persons but this is never done automatically we always request the guest to agree to the additional charge, we may sometimes waive this surcharge especially in peak periods unfortunately in winter we can't offer this waiver as our prices are very low at this time

Lovely, cosy cottage

Great stay, wonderful house.

This was our first time to the Highlands and they did not disappoint. Strongly recommend driving the Glen Etive road if you're a James Bond/Skyfall fan. Also explore An Torr Forrest and Signal Rock.

The house itself is all you could want/need. Tony was very helpful whenever needed.

Picturesque

We stayed over New year, the house itself is beautiful inside and out. A modern looking bungalow over two floors. The house is spacious, cosy and nicely decorated.

Dealing with Maori and Tony was nothing but a pleasure, they were very helpful and informative.

The area surrounding the home is stunning but you'll need to walk about 1 min to get down to the Loch side, this wasn't and shouldn't be an issue for anyone wishing to stay here.

The house is situated minutes away from the main route through Glencoe which is one of the most beautiful roads in the world. You can go the other way and drive to Fort William which will take about 25 minutes or so, not far from Ben Nevis. If you decide to do any journeys further afield you'll find the drive goes in quickly due to the amazing surroundings you'll see.

Tony recommended "The Larroch" restaurant in Ballachulish, with the chef having won "Chef of the year" and previously held a Michelin star at another restaurant. The food was unbelievable, Michelin star food without the price and pretentiousness.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay, we highly recommend it.

Spacious, comfy and cosy accomodation in a great location

Our host was welcoming and had the property nice and cosy for our arrival together with some recommendations of places to eat. The house was very clean and well presented. We enjoyed the lovely scenery nearby during the day and the massive TV in the evenings. Would have no problem recommending this property to anyone.

Lovely property

Lovely property - home from home. Dog friendly which was brilliant and very clean and to a high standard (not always found with dog friendly places)

Well equipped kitchen and everything was very clean and to a high standard.

Only one slight negative to note - it would have been nice to have been left a carton of milk for when we arrived - always had this before when self catering - usually with bread etc too but there was no "welcome pack".

Owner was on the end of the phone for any problems and was very friendly and helpful and was more than happy to come over if we needed help.

Loch Leven Hotel was very dog friendly and had two mini schnauzers exactly the same as ours :)

Weather was appalling but with such a lovely house to go back to it certainly helped.

Impressive

The property is outstanding with high quality furnishings and Mairi has a superb eye for design. Lovely views from the living room windows and just a short walk down to the lochside.Situated just off the main Glen Coe to Fort William road, an easy walk into Ballachulish where fresh bread can be bought in the morning and just 30 min stroll into Glen Coe where there is a nice coffee shop on the way.Highly recommend the properties of Tony and Mairi, and can't wait to go back.

Highland gem

Beautiful well kept luxurieus wonderful clean detached house.

Owners have a lot of local knowledge and they are happy to share.

A perfect spot to explore the area i.e. fort augustus, spean bridge, crieff, inverness and many other interesting places.

Eat & drink; kinlochleven seafood restaurant, holy tree restaurant, crafts& arts cafe, costa.

Highly recommended!

Sking , Golfing or just touring around this beautiful rugged glen whilst enjoying fabulous resturants come and visit us here at Glencoe for a fabulous luxury stay as this beautiful 5 Star loch side holiday house, the only 5 Star lochside in Glencoe.

Golf: The area has some beautiful golf courses. There is a spectacular 9 Hole golf course, with views right across the Lochs less than 2 miles away at Ballachulish. There are also 18 hold golf courses at Fort William and Oban.

Ski: The area has excellent skiing in winter. The Glencoe Ski Centre is just 12 miles away, while the town of Fort William, Britain’s highest mountain ‘Ben Nevis’ and the Nevis Ski Centre (dry slope in summer) are just 14 miles to the north. Ski and Snowboard equipment is available to hire at both of these centres. Lessons are also available at both Ski centers!

Please note use of the open gas Gasgo fire is restricted to winter periods however in summer there is an Opti myst dimplex fire which is lovely this property is exceptionally warm and fully central heated. In winter there is an addional £65 charge for use of the gas fire as we run off bottles.
