Why Shawn M. Tramel (Missy) chose North Capitol
We loved the location of this property. It's quiet, yet so close to all the attractions in downtown Nashville. Being on the river, with a pool, was an added plus. The complex has a wonderful mix of locals and vacationers. The residents are welcoming and friendly and there is just a good vibe here.
What makes this Condo unique
This charming condo has designated parking just steps from the front door on the ground level. There is also a second parking spot to the side of the building. The pool is just a few steps from the unit but separated by the parking lot. Which means you don't hear the noise of the swimmers. Pool open from Late April until Late October, weather permitting. The location is wonderful. Walking distance to everything downtown without all the loud noise of the strip. Our unit offers everything to make your trip enjoyable.

Enjoyed our stay! Good location.
The condo was exactly as advertised! It was perfect for our girls trip. We all slept great and had enough room to relax. The location was great as well. We would stay here again!
The condo was beautiful and so conveniently located ! The owners were wonderful and the place was spotless! Looking forward to coming back next year !!
Nice place within walking distance of Broadway
This unit was great for us as we planned to spend a lot of time on Broadway visiting the Honky Tonks. Less than a mile walk and we felt comfortable walking to and from even late into the evening!
Great Condo, Perfect Location
Stayed in Nashville 5 nights. When we arrived at 9p, we were a little weary of the area. Right next to a jail and down a dark one-way road behind railroad tracks. However, the next morning when we walked around and got our bearings - the location turned out to be PERFECT. We don't mind walking and we also took the occasional scooter ride (which is very convenient). It's a short walk (under 1 mile) to the heart of Broadway but there are many, many things to see all over the city. We were right next to the baseball stadium (maybe .25 miles) and also to Bicentennial Park. Literally everything is within walking distance. Germantown is an "up and coming" neighborhood as several Uber drivers informed us. Which was reflected in the construction everywhere.
Condo itself was a little small but fine for what we needed. It was just my husband and myself. Another couple could easily fit comfortably but the bathroom is through the bedroom which is a little odd. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you would need to cook comfortably. Although we ate out for every meal. There is so much amazing food to be eaten - we didn't have one bad meal. Some other reviews complained of the upstairs neighbors. We could definitely hear them walking around and occasionally being loud but it was not "intolerable". It didn't really bother us and when the TV or sound machine was on, you couldn't hear them. The pool is nice and right on the water right across the parking lot from this unit. We did walk to the laundry and gym to see it (other side of complex) but didn't use them. They seemed nice though. The owners have lots of great information around. They also have little areas of "extras" in case you forgot something which was nice. The bed was SO comfortable and we really felt right at home. The owners are so nice and really do try to make your stay awesome. They are so nice and friendly-hard to come by these days.
Just a few of my favorites form the trip: Skulls Rainbow Room (1920's bar with burlesque show), Mas Tacos Por Favor, Bolton's Spicy Chicken & Fish (for local hot chicken), Suzy Wong's House of Yum (Drag show and great food), Acme for music, The Lookout (amazing view and good food/vibe), The Opry Tour, The Gaylord (just walk through it), CMHOF Tour with RCA Tour, Old Glory (amazing speakeasy, The Patterson House (awesome speakeasy). If you can, make it to the Jack Daniels Distillery! It does not disappoint!
Our first trip to Nashville and WILL NOT be our last!
Thank you for staying with us. We would love to host y'all again in Nashville. We try to make everyone feel at home. The upstairs condo is a vacation rental as well. If our guests has an issue with noise we can call the owner. She is very responsive and will take care of it quick. The jail you saw is actually almost a half mile from our condo. That is the OLD jail. Nashville built a new one on the other side of town. The one you saw is only a holding area for public intoxication. For those who have a little too much fun in the Honky Tonks. Let us know when you want to return. We offer a little discount to repeat guests.
My husband and I recently traveled to Nashville for the first time. We were happy to find this place to stay in. It was much less expensive than any of the hotels we looked at in the area. During the day we felt fully comfortable walking for 20 minutes or so to the downtown area. We were slightly uncomfortable walking home in the evening as the neighborhood seemed a little rundown. However we didn’t have any problems. We did take an Lyft a couple of times and it was a really reasonable rate to get anywhere we wanted to go.
The residents (or possibly other renters) in the complex we’re pretty noisy out by the pool while we were there. I’m not sure if this is the norm or the exception to this place. The other reviews mentioning the creaking of the floors above us are very accurate. If you are a light sleeper, this may bother you. However, we were on vacation, so it didn’t really bother us.
The bed was really comfortable. We also had a couple visit us from Ohio for one night and they said the sleeper sofa was pretty cozy.
Overall great value, good location to downtown and clean place to stay!
