This charming Mountain Condo is cozy and comfortable, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cashiers area. Whether your idea of relaxing is golf, tennis, mountain biking, or just enjoying the awesome splendor of the mountains and the waterfalls, you’ll find your visit to be unforgettable. As part of Wyndham's Sapphire Valley Resort, you will have access to golf, tennis, hiking, swimming, sailing, canoeing, horseback riding, and children's activities, as well as a large swimming complex with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, and in the winter, snow skiing and snowboarding. However, if you are a "shop-till-you-drop" type of person, the Cashiers area offers an interesting selection of art and antique shops that feature mountain crafts and hard-to-find gifts.
This nicely furnished Condo has a private entrance, and includes a well-equipped kitchen, fireplace, central heat and air, washer/dryer, and a private deck with a gas grill. In addition, the unit includes Cable TV, VCR, and a DVD player. Both bedrooms have private baths, with a King size bed in the Master and a Queen in the Guest suite. If cooking isn’t your idea of a vacation, there are a number of wonderful restaurants in the immediate area.
This is our third stay at this Villa and we love it. The furnishings are cozy and comfortable and we really enjoy the private balcony overlooking the woods. The location makes it convenient to walk to Lake Fairfield, or a short drive to the pool and other Wyndham amenities. I don't know how to leave a star rating, but would give it 4 and a half stars.
Well appointed, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, relaxing porch, easy access to hiking, downtown Cashiers shopping, TV for everybody. We will be back for sure, great for our family of 4! Very clean, easy access to eating in Cashiers.
The house was everything we needed The location was perfect able to walk out the door and hike around the beautiful lake. We had a wonderful weekend together.
fine...love the Sapphire/Cashiers area, place furnished well
no decent tv, ice maker broken, so only 4stars!
There were so many things "wrong" with the condo it sort of overshadowed the good. I'll list them, but not in order.
The bed "summer blanket" was stained.
The exhaust fans in both downstairs bathrooms were inoperative.
The ice dispenser didn't work, which wouldn't be a problem in itself except you had to pull the whole icemaker out to get ice. I finally took it apart and repaired it since the owner refused to.
Some cabinet doors wouldn't shut until I screwed the hinges back in tightly.
The TV wouldn't pick up the "lower" channels which included the locals. The cable repair man told us it was the wire from the TV to the outside and he could do nothing about it.
The toaster was inoperative.
The downstairs bedroom TV's don't get many channels.
The condo was advertised as "sleeps 6" but the convertible sofa had been swapped for one that didn't "convert" so one guest had to sleep on the couch.
The dining/living room air conditioner leaked all over the place. The manager "fixed" it once but after that we had to put pots underneath it.
we had a great time in this charming little mountain home. There is much to do in the area for kids and adults, and the weather was beautiful compared to the brutal Charlotte summer we left just down the mountain. We will certainly be coming back!
Wonderful vacation and enjoyed the condo! It was well stocked, wi-fi worked great, really nicely decorated, and, though I'm not a mountain or nature person, and booked this with my kids in mind, didn't want to leave! Will definitely be back.
