1800 Square Foot Chalet Style Home On 2 Forested Acres, Sleeps 10
About Ed Becker
We built this home 1996 as a mountain getaway from the valley heat in the summer and dreary rain and fog of winter. Our boys are now married and have their own families so we thought it was time to share our special place with new friends. Ed is a walnut grower and real estate broker and has been coming to Bucks since 1956. Karen is a displaced Oregonian and Oregon State grad now retired after 32 years as an elementary teacher. This is our home, not a an investment property, and we hope that by sharing it, you will treasure your time at Bucks Lake as much as we do.

Why Ed Becker chose Meadow Valley
If you are looking for peace and quiet in a serene mountain setting this is your spot. The activities here are focused on the mountains and the lake. The Pacific Crest Trail is just a mile from the house. Bucks Lake is only five minutes away. Hiking, stream fishing are just minutes from the front door. The quiet paved roads in the area are great for walking, jogging or bicycling.

Great family rental perfect for our trip to the lake.
My family enjoyed our time at the Club Ed cabin. It was peaceful, well equipt, and the location was perfect. The property managers are friendly and easy to communicate with. We felt at home and greatly appreciate being able to use the cabin during our family trip to the lake. Thanks Todd, Kathy, Ed and Karen!
Perfect family space!
We rolled in after a cross-country drive expecting a nice place, but Ed’s “cabin” is exceptional. Nice, well stocked kitchen, laundry and baths. Comfortable beds and beautiful deck with fire pit. One mile to the lake, and the meadow and creek to walk the dog.. We want to come back!
Very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Easy to communicate with the host and he made sure that he addressed any questions or concerns that we had. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck and at the fire pit. Plenty of room inside and the large dining room table was big enough to accommodate our large group. I would recommend this home!
Had an amazing time
The house was just perfect for are stay in bucks lake. It had every thing we ever needed and more to make are stay confertable. I specially appreciate the friendliness of the property manager as he welcomed us at the cabin. I would recommend this house to any one that just wants to get away for a bit and have some fun in bucks lake. Will definitely rent this cabin again next time.
Great place, but leave time for our return!
We chose Ed's Club as the site for our 11th annual Cousins' Camp with our 14,13, & 11 year old grandchildren and a great time was had by all! The cabin is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is close enough to the lake for easy access to the Buck's Lake Marina by car, but isolated enough to be relaxing and quiet. Although there is no WIFI connection, I appreciated the time away from cell phones! The owners made certain things were as we expected and going well. We all liked it well enough to go again! Thanks so much!
Bucks Lake is located at 5,000 feet elevation approximately 20 miles south west of Quincy Ca and 46 miles north east of Oroville Ca on State Hwy 162. It is an alpine type lake with boating, fishing and sailing. There are several resorts at the lake and a marina with patio boat rentals. It is a a quiet setting for those looking for less crowded and more laid back location to spend some time in the Sierras
