The house was perfect. Good furnishings, comfy clean beds, great wrap around porch, and steps from the beach. Highly recommend!
Great location, but not the house.
Stove did not work all but one night of stay. Both beds had mud on the comforters. All but two pans are usable. There was large piles of dog feces in yard. Ants crawling out of locked cabinet in kitchen. If you want to use community pool you have to pay $100. Door knob to house broke, had to spend $120 of own money to have a locksmith wedge the door to get into house during a thunderstorm of course. Was accused of breaking into a locked closet that was left unlocked when we checked in. Was told by property manager we would get back for our troubles and reimbursement for locksmith. I guess that was just talk to keep us quiet. Still have not seen it. House has great potential needs new property manager and houskeeper.
Great Little Get Away Cottage
This is the second stay for us at this property. The house is neat and clean having been tastefully refurbished last year and is supplied with everything you need in the kitchen. Vanessa , the owner is very cordial and immediately responsive to a call or question. We really enjoy our stays there.
Steps from the beach
Cute, clean home right on the beach with everything we needed. This is our second time staying here and will definitely be back again.
This beach house could not have been more perfect for our quick getaway to the Island! We did not want to leave! The home is decorated so nicely and kept immaculate! Perfect for a couples getaway or a small family of 4-6 guests. The home sits just a short walk to an almost private beach which is free from vehicles to interrupt your beach fun! We loved our morning walks on the beach just in time to marvel at the gorgeous sunrise. We found ourselves on the wraparound patio for hours each day and into the night where we enjoyed the sea breeze, listened to the surf, and were entertained by flocks of pelicans flying overhead. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and appliances to easily cook for your guests during your stay. We loved having access to the two full bathrooms stocked not only with comfy hotel quality towels but also shampoo, conditioner and body wash — an added bonus! The beach shower downstairs was a great way to wash off before heading upstairs and helped us keep the home clean and neat! We almost missed out on the added amenities offered through the Sea Isle Neighborhood because we loved staying at the house so much, BUT so glad we ventured across the road to the West End Marina! There we found the Sand Bar Grill which has the BEST peel ‘n’ eat shrimp around and a great shrimp po’boy. We loved hanging out and listening to live music at the Sand Bar with the locals (Sunday). Then, at sunset, be sure to venture back across the road to the West End Pier for one of the best sunset views on the Island! If you enjoy fishing, be sure to bring your gear — the pier is perfect! The owner Vanessa was so easy to work with — great communication and she was open to help us with our trip itinerary! Our perfect getaway at the Barefoot Bungalow came to an end far too soon, but we hope to rent from Vanessa again one day!
Nice house on the beach for a small family. The location is unbeatable.
