Location! Location! Location! Close to many of Boston's hotspots and major educational and medical institutions. My place is a cozy studio with all new Wayfair furniture, brass bed, new gel mattress, soft sheets and a comfy purple armchair. Full kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is small but comfortable with lots of light. Boston College is only 5 minutes away and it is also very close to Boston University, Berkelee School of Music, Harvard University, MIT, Pine Manor College and major hospitals like Beth Israel, Brigham and Women's and St. Elizabeth's. Public transportation is walking distance only a few minutes away with all types of great amenities, stores and restaurants nearby. An amazing location where you can walk just 2-4 minutes to catch the B ( Boston College) line, C ( Cleveland Circle) line or the D ( Riverside) line. Take the subway to Fenway Park if you want to catch a Red Sox game or TD Garden for the Celtics or Bruins and skip the traffic and super high parking fees! Patriots fans? Only a 40 minutes car ride away! The Chestnut Hill Mall and the Showcase SuperLux Theatre is only 5 minutes away. Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science and the Aquarium also on the subway lines. The aesthetic is old Boston. Imagine yourself in a galley kitchen so you can drink tea and plan your day. You will find fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner and soaps ! Parking meters and paid parking lots in area - no guarenteed parking. Recommend public transportation and Uber/Lyft. Now with Wi-Fi!

About Carol Lee
Lifetime Bostonian! I was born here, went to school ( BLS & Brandeis) here, got married here , raised my children here, do volunteer work and still live here! I am a Sufi minister and do spiritual healing for wellness, health and life purpose. I have my own healing practice and offer free weekly healing circles in Boston and Greater Boston.
Carol Lee purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Carol Lee chose Commonwealth
I love Boston and love this location! I rent from a childhood friend who lives out of state but comes to the area frequently to visit local family and friends. It is great for her to be able to stay here, for me have guests, stay over and to do work. It is a very safe neighborhood and only minutes away from 3 subway lines.
What makes this Apartment unique
This location is so awesome and close to hotspots in Boston and Cambridge! So many things to see and do that is very close- Boston College is 5 minutes away. Major teaching hospitals and so many colleges, sports venues, historic sites, museums, theatre district. etc. It is so convenient and everything is walking distance! Roll out of bed, walk a few minutes and I am at Starbucks. At 10pm night, I can get a dessert drinks and boba tea at Kung Fu Tea. Friendly service at the hardware store, CVS and hair salon. All different types of great eateries a few minutes away. Having MBTA access to 3 lines ( B,C,D) within a few minutes walk makes me feel spoiled! It is also great to be more environmentally friendly/green. However, when driving, it is close to some major roads like Rt 9, Rt 128/95 and the Mass Pike ( Rt 90) and there is lots of meter parking and paid parking lots.

pleasant clean apartment, delightful host
Although not my particular taste, the apartment is clean and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed. Carol is particularly thoughtful, with sparkling water and coconut water in the fridge, and a good selection of tea and coffee. She noticed that I walk with a cane, and phoned me a few minutes after greeting me to tell me about a stool in the corner that might help me climbing into the tall bed. Anyone would feel welcome and cared for staying here.
Thank you for your positive review, John! I really appreciate it. Coming from a fellow Homeaway host with a gorgeous place in Mexico, that is a huge compliment to receive! Lovely to meet you as well. I hope your important work in the ALS field went well during your meetings in Boston and that your shoulder is healing quickly. The shirt you left behind is packed up and being shipped out today!
Just enough for two plus thoughtful touches
Carol was quite the hostess! She has a perfect spot for 2 people - especially for us who use it only to sleep! Too much to see in the city! Bed was comfy, she was so kind as to have coffee and bottled water for us too. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review, Molli! So glad you enjoyed my hostess skills, your stay in Boston and in the apartment. I hope you will come back again to Boston to explore some of the other great spots you could not get to visit this time around.
Cute and comfortable
This studio was extremely comfortable (bed, layout) and relaxing. I was in Boston just for whatever, no business and my daughter worked during the day. It was perfectly located near a coffee shop I already knew (Fuel America) and an awesome sandwich shop (Moogy's) so good we went there twice. Chestnut Hill Reservoir is 1/2 mile away, so a perfect 4 mile route to run. I will stay here again if the need arises.
Thank you for the positive review Joel! I am so glad you had such an enjoyable and comfortable while staying at the apartment to visit with your daughter. I remember the apartment happened to be very close to where she lived which was another plus! That is great your favorite coffee shop is still in the neighborhood after all these years and good to know about Moogy's as I have never been there.
Just as expected!
Very small but exactly as described. Carol was very accommodating and met us to give us the key right away. I overlooked the fact that there is no Wi-Fi but that was totally my own fault and there's a Starbucks (& Dunkin!) nearby anyway. Coffee, location convenient to the T and comfy bed = good stay!
Thank you for the 5 star review and for staying with us! We are glad you had a good visit in Boston and found the bed's gel mattress comfy. Yes, this studio apartment is pretty compact and efficiently designed with a surprising amount of storage! We are planning to make Wi-Fi available in the near future now as several guests have noted that would be a plus for the apartment and their stay. We are glad that it worked out that the Wi-Fi at Starbucks is just down the street with early and late hours as well as good coffee.
Carol's place was a small gem....a well-decorated and very clean studio within a short distance of the MBTA and a couple of good restaurants. I wish Carol had wifi...otherwise it was perfect, with everything that we needed.
Thank you for the wonderful review, Marion!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and felt you had everything you needed. There are lots of restaurants with great food close by!
So sorry you missed in the description that we do not have wifi for guests and for any inconvenience that may have caused you. Fortunately guests have been able to connect with their own data plans or walk down the street to Starbucks .
You are welcome back anytime!
Quiet, quaint studio
So enjoyed the quietness of this place. A wonderful, comfortable bed; great shower and large fluffy towels! Those are our main "requirements" for a great stay! We did not use the kitchen though it seemed quite adequate.
Carol is very hands on and kept in touch with us until we were settled.
You will not be disappointed with your stay here! Close to the tram. Make sure you eat at Amelias Taqueria for either breakfast or lunch (a quick 5 minute walk).
So glad you enjoyed your stay in the apartment and trip to Boston! Thank you for taking the time to write us such a great review. You are most welcome back any time!
