A Wonderful Family Gathering Spot to Enjoy One of the Best Kept Secrets in East
About Rodney Alexander
Hello! I am a sales manager for a Fortune 500 Company and am thrilled that you are interested in possibly renting our vacation property. My wife (Alicia) and I have 3 wonderful daughters and a puppy. Fletcher, the English Lab you see in the picture recently went to doggy heaven but he was such a part of our lives when we visited Chincoteague we saw this picture and thought he should be a part of the greeting since he was such a happy and fun loving dog to all. We currently reside in Hockessin, DE but I have been vacationing in Chincoteague since I was 5 years old. Chincoteague has so much to offer in what I like to do (i.e. fishing, boating, beach, claming, crabbing, jogging, biking, etc) that it makes it hard to leave when we visit.
Rodney Alexander purchased this House in 2009
Why Rodney Alexander chose Chincoteague Island
Once you see Rachel's Delight you will see why it is an attraction on the island. Ever since I was a little boy I had always admired the house with the big white pillars. It is literally one of the larger homes on the island so when it came up for sale back in 2009 I gathered my wife and my father up to find the means to purchase. We lucked out and the rest is history.
What makes this House unique
Rachel's Delight is spacious so you will find plenty of room to get away for privacy or to congregate with family / friends. It's convenience to Main Street really make the home a special place since it takes away the hassle of parking and managing busy streets.

A place with a view & coffee shop across the street
Such a wonderful place with lots of room! Well decorated and furnished. We had plenty of space to spread out. Easy access allowed us to get to everything. We recommend this place to all.
Lots of space, large common area, clean. Two of three showers are quite small.
Spacious home with gorgeous sunset views
My extended family has stayed in this house several times, and we love the large dining area for family dinners and a rousing game of Chincoteague Monopoly. The front porch is the best for watching the sunset after a day at the beach. The house has plenty of room so we are not bumping into each other. We will definitely be back!
Recap of house
The overall accommodations suited our needs perfectly. We did experience issues with a door and not having a key, but the owner was nice and reimbursed us expenses plus treated us to ice cream for the inconvenience. We would recommend the property.
