Exactly what we needed

  • 5 of 5

Perfect get away for our family of four. Ate dinner watching the sunsets every night from the lanai. Walked a short distance to secluded white sand beaches with exotic shells and crystal clear water. A true slice of paradise in what felt like total seclusion. Tried to lose my return ticket home!!

We really enjoyed our stay. This condo is just like the pictures.

We loved the gorgeous beach view from the lanai that is such a short walk away. We found the other guests at the resort very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about Molokai. We had a very comfortable stay.

Very well equipped studio at Kepuhi Beach ! Kitchen had all the utensils we needed . Good lighting in kitchen area. Screen door allowed flow through ventilation to stay cool without extra bugs ! Convenient to parking lot . Amazing sunsets from lanai . We would stay again ( this was our fourth trip to this resort and the best unit so far ! )

Wonderful place to relax

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our three nights in this condo. It is located in a very quiet resort on a quiet side of a very quiet island! Half of the units at this resort are boarded up and there are very few people, which seems a little creepy at first, but you absolutely come to appreciate the location very quickly. There is a beautiful view of a well-landscaped yard down to a nice beach from the lanai. The kitchen is well equipped, the unit was very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to the 'friendly isle'.

Off the Beaten Path

  • 3 of 5

The property was in location as described, on the far West side of the island, 4 miles off the main road. The grounds were well kept and the waves could be heard day and night. It was very peaceful and a gorgeous long beach was within a 10 minute walk. There were essentials in the kitchen, which was convenient being a half hour drive to a grocery store. The condo had a queen bed, rather than king as described and was in need of a deep cleaning. The amenities were nice, but a layer of dust and mold covered everything. My allergies were bothered the entire time we stayed there. There were mosquitos in the apartment when we arrived, but luckily we found a can of repellent and sprayed the large gaps in the lanai door and it seemed to keep them at bay. For us, the condo was just a place to rest and sleep while we explored Molokai and was fine for that purpose. This really could be a nice unit, but needs major refreshing.

Owner's Response: Surprised at this review. We have 2 units at Kepuhi Beach but this is the one we always stay at & we take pride in it. First, it is stated that there is a queen bed not a king in the description. Also the unit is cleaned the day before or the day of a guest's arrival. I have allergies too when the weather or winds act up but never due to something in this unit. There is no mold in this unit. I am checking with the cleaning staff to see if winds may have caused dust on the lanai.

The condo looked just like the photos. It was clean, and comfortable. My sister slept in the bed upstairs and I slept on the sofa bed downstairs, which was comfortable. It had everything, including beach towels, and washer/dryer. Even coffee for the first morning. The owner responded to us promptly, and she sent us two emails beforehand telling us how to get to the condo and what tourist sights and restaurants she recommended. The lanai has a pretty view of an open green, with the ocean in the distance over some buildings. When we were there December 2-4, 2016, the Kepuhi Beach had large, crashing waves which were fun to photograph. We did not swim except when we went scuba diving with Molokai Fish & Dive (great experience). It was about a 35 minute drive to the main town, mainly due to the maximum 45-mph speed limit, so gas up your car and buy your groceries in town before you head to the condo. (There are only two gas stations on the island, in town; gas was $4.59/gallon when we were there.) The people of Molokai are incredibly friendly, and the island is unspoiled, with beautiful beaches. They don't even have a stoplight. Yes, we would stay at this condo again!
