Furnished to high standard. Large lounge, modern fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar for 4 and separate dining area for 6. Lounge has large sofa, occasional chairs, multichannel TV, Wifi, CD/FM radio . Kitchen has every convenience plus washing machine and dishwasher.Double bedroom has full en-suite bathroom.Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds.Bedrooms are at opposite ends of lounge /diner. The apartment is situated in the best location in the centre of Menton. See photos for map/location.The popular beaches and promenade are directly across the road from the apartment building.The Old Town is just a few minutes walk away as are the chic fashion shops/ boutiques.You are right beside all the lovely restaurants and cafes as well as the daily fruit/vegetable and fish market.The Casino and tourist office are around the corner. Menton train station is 4 minute walk.By train you can visit,at low cost, Monaco and all the resorts of both the French and Italian Rivieras(Cannes/Antibes/Eze/Villefranche/San Remo/Nice). Local bus stop beside the apartment takes you to Monte Carlo in 10 minutes! All French windows are double glazed and overlook an enclosed leafy park/garden.Apartment is quiet and free from traffic noise. Resident english speaking concierge for meet/greet+key pickup etc. Apartment building has a lift (elevator). Multichannel sat TV+ WiFi installed.

So good we keep coming back

My family have stayed here several times now which is praise indeed as we never went to the same place twice before. Location is perfect - close to the beach, attractions and transport links but also quiet, the apartment faces the lovely courtyard garden so you are not troubled by traffic noise as you would be by most town centre apartments. Clean, attractive and well appointed accommodation. Happiest memory: popping out in the morning to the neighbouring bakery and eating our croissants on the beach as the sun rose. can't get better than that. Fabrice the concierge is amazingly helpful, going well beyond what you might normally expect - got his own GP to come out and see our poorly toddler at 4pm on Christmas eve - all was well in the end, thanks to Fabrice and not my travel insurer!

Historic Building, Great Location

This apartment is an ideal location for an extended stay in Menton, conveniently located near shops, cafes, restaurants, trains station and a short walk to the old town. And best of all it is a block from the Mediterranean. Nicely equipped (including a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher) and clean I found the apartment perfect for me. Also, a plus was the friendly and helpful concierge who continually asked me if I needed any assistance of any kind. Which was rather nice, as by the time I was staying here I was traveling alone. So, it was nice to see a friendly face everyday.

Good central position

We had a great holiday in Menton and the flat is ideally placed to quickly access all the transport, beach, shop and restaurant facilities. There are two good sized bedrooms, twin and a double and showers had a good supply of hot water. Fabrice the concierge was always on hand and eager to assist. There is air conditioning in the flat which services the lounge and twin bedroom, but the door has to be left open to benefit, compromising privacy. The double (master) bedroom misses out and has a ceiling fan which is not the quietest. Again this room benefits slightly when door is open but compromises privacy. The kitchen units (not appliances) are in need of upgrading as the melamine is peeling from doors and the cutlery drawer was held in place by sticky tape. The walls, ceilings and doors would also benefit from a fresh lick of paint. Most of these issues raised may be as a result of a busy season. We were two couples sharing and occupied the twin room. Access to toilet/shower facilities meant a walk from the room via kitchen and lounge. We did enjoy our stay in the apartment due to its location but the issues raised would prevent us from returning.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review.Our apartment is very popular and is fully booked out every year until the end of October.The Summer period is particularly busy with families, couples etc enjoying the excellent conveniences it has to offer.Many of our guests have returned 3 & 4 times.The apartment was originally a suite from a former Belle Epoque hotel and we have kept some of its beautiful authentic features.All repairs including decoration and aircon service are carried out annually during the quiet month of November. Spacious and Great Location

We were two couples and although the one bedroom had two single beds we made it work and having two bathrooms was a total bonus. The location more than made up for the inconvience of single beds and all the beds and bedding were comfortable. The beach chairs and pads came in very handy as the beach is a mix of sand and peddles. A great weeks stay, thanks for sharing. Roy, Dianne, Gord and Wendy

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely review.Just to make it clear for future renters...this apartment has 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.One bedroom has a double bed and the other has 2 single beds.There is a long lounge/kitchen /diner in between both bedrooms which gives great privacy to couples or families sharing.In addition there is a comfortable 3 seater couch which converts to a double bed in the lounge.We are delighted that you had a great holiday in Menton and that you enjoyed our apartment and its location etc. Adrian and Geraldine

Your apartment served us perfectly. Two great bedrooms, a loveable sittingroom in between and a functional kitchenette. Good vibrations surrounded the apartment. And Fabrice was the perfect “care-taker”

A deposit of 25%(non refundable) is required on booking, with balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Above prices are based on 1-4 persons,additional 5th and 6th persons charge of 13 euro/person/night.
A security bond(200 euro) is payable to concierge on arrival and will be returned in full on departure provided the apartment is left in a clean condition and no damage or breakages have occurred.
Laundry fee of 50 euro paid to concierge on arrival.
