Oakridge St Mellion is truly something special. You will be staying on a safe private holiday estate adjoining the fairways of the renowned St Mellion Golf & Country Club. Accessed via a long ½ mile drive and set in 35 acres of grounds, you instantly feel that you have truly got away from it all.

Designed by a well-known local architect these stunning properties were built in 1998 using local materials. The upside down design makes maximum use of the great views and floor to ceiling windows. The vaulted ceilings and large lounge areas enhance that feeling of light and space.

You will get gracious surroundings, a lovely setting, close to good transport links near the world renowned St Mellion golf club

'Treetops' has an enviable position on this exclusive estate and was fully refurbished in 2017. This detached lodge is situated in the very last group of cottage it overlooks the 'Old Course' at St. Mellion.

Treetops comes with a very high level of furnishing and decor. Downstairs: The main bedroom is exceptionally large for a holiday cottage. It has a king-size solid wood and wrought iron bed and large walk in wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath and power shower. The second bedroom has twin beds, a large wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with bath and power shower.

Upstairs, Treetops benefits from a sunny, modern open plan setting. the furniture is of the highest quality with TV & DVD player and a top quality sound system.

The lounge area is bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. There is an open fireplace to ensure that evenings can be spent in comfort. During the summer the french windows open out the balcony. The lounge is nicely finished off with some pieces of antique furniture and china (although these are kept out of reach of young ones so don't worry!)The dining area seats four in comfort. It has great views out of the large windows.

Outside The large wrap-around balcony has plenty of room and there is also a downstairs patio with barbecue.

Treetops includes: Full central heating - no extra charge. All linen, towels and electricity - no extra charge.

You can book a round of golf direct with the St Mellion club (at extra cost), or at the nearby China Fleet club.

Lovely spring break in a modern holiday home

Stayed for a short break in March and we were pleasantly surprised. Just before we arrived the owner advised us that the property had been updated over the winter with new carpets and furniture fitted throughout, which was apparent as the place had a lovely modern and homely feel to it. As well as being very well equipped, there was a large screen tv and real log fire in the living space, leading to very warm and cosy evenings.

Definitely recommended and we hope to return soon.

Enjoyable Christmas break

We came here for a Christmas break and had a great time. This property does not come with the St Mellion memberships that others do, but if you do not want to play golf, it is much better value due to lower prices.

We liked the great central heating and fireplace. The huge windows meant it was light even in mid winter. It is very easy to get around locally, we have relatives in Plymouth which is about 20 minutes away, hence why we came here.

The decor is somewhat old fashioned but everything is extremely comfortable and there was none of the minor damage that you often get in holiday homes that have not been looked after.

It was very clean and had a large well-equipped kitchen, perfect for Christmas dinner.

Beautiful and peaceful

A lovely place to stay, I would recommend this holiday to a friend. Great location with lots to do. Only downside was that some things in the property didn't work like DVD player and the flush, vacuum cleaner and a speaker on the hi find. I did bring this to the owners attention after we left however - they apologised and told us they would have replaced everything straight away if we would have informed them sooner. I believe everything is working in the property now.

Urlaub in St. Mellion

Das Haus ist schön ruhig gelegen, ab vom Schuss. Leider hat man kein Netz in dieser Gegend. Da uns ein falscher Schlüsselcode mitgeteilt wurde, mussten wir nochmals ein paar Minuten fahren bevor wir wieder Netz hatten und den Vermieter anrufen konnten, der uns dann den richtigen Code gab. Das Haus sollte unbedingt komplett renoviert werden. Bis auf Küche ist überall Teppichboden verlegt, der seine besten Jahre hinter sich hat. Der gesamte Küchenfußboden inklusive Küchentisch, Stühle usw. haben geklebt. Man ist regelrecht mit den Schuhen kleben geblieben. Auch das Geschirr und Besteck war teilweise noch dreckig. Eine Kaffeemaschine existiert nicht. Das Haus ist sehr feucht, die Kleider im Schrank waren teilweise klamm. Wer nicht zu viel wert auf Sauberkeit legt könnte sich wohlfühlen. Abgesehen von der Lage kann ich wenig positives sagen.

Tree Top Urlaub 2016

Ein außerst ruhiges Anwesen in der Natur mitten in Cornwall.Im Ort kein Einkauf möglich. Auto ist unbedingt nötig.

Es sind aber keine Luxushäuser. Es war leider nur ein dekefter Bodum Kaffeezubereiter im Haus, keine Kaffeemaschine. Im zweitem Schlafraum nur ein kleiner Schrank mit 2 Schubfächern. Die gesamte Anlage sollte mal renoviert werden. Die gesamte Aussenansicht wirkt vergammelt. Sehr schache Internetleitung. 1. Woche kein Internett. In den Bädern zu schwache Lüftung, da kein Fenster vorhanden. Beim Wäschewechsel sollte auch der Wannenvorleger gewechselt werden. Ansonsten einfach und gut ausgestattet, aber kein Luxus!

Traditional bucket and spade resort and fishing port. The Eden project 45 min. Getting better all the time as it matures. Plymouth 20 min. A bustling navy town with some lovely areas. Cotehele House 5 min. One of Cornwall's top NT mansions. Lanhydrock House 20 min. Amazing mansion with classic car ride. Tintagel Castle 40 min. Arthur or no Arthur, still spectacular. The Tamar River 10 min. Take a gentle sailing or canoeing trip. Buckland Abbey 25 min. Visit the home of Drake. Lost gardens of Heligan 40 min. Poignant tale, lovely gardens.
