Dalelene and David Stafford
Why Dalelene and David Stafford chose New Marshfield
At the turn of the century my great grandfather and grandmother, George and Golda Scott, purchased this farm. In 1963, when my father graduated from Ohio State with a degree in agriculture, Great grandpa George gave him and my mother this farm. My parents farmed this (along with about 900 other acres) and raised three daughters here. After my parents’ death in 2004 and 2005, I, Dalelene, that middle daughter, and my husband, Dave, and our youngest daughter bought the farm and relocated here from Lancaster. We are so happy to live here. After living “back home” for five years, we decided to use this beautiful farm for more than just a residence. The George and Goldie CabinWe thought that others would enjoy our 80 acres. So, with the help of Ron White Builders, we built our first cabin to allow others to experience the calmness, serenity, and solitude of our family farm. We named this first cabin after my great grandparents, George and Golda (I called her Grandma Goldi) Scott; the George and Goldi. We hope you enjoy the property and remember with fondness, your time here.

We loved the cabin, location, privacy and being photographers, the magnificent night sky.
Had a little glitch with Hot Tub, our fault and the owners responded immediately. We will be back soon!
Unplugged from the world. Cozy comfortable. Nature at every angle..
Our annual retreat
Our 3rd year back for our 4 year wedding anniversary! We truly appreciate the kindness and hospitality Dalelene and David share! Look forward to farm fresh eggs, beautiful star gazing from the hottub or fire pit! We enjoy coffee, while front porch sitting to watch the sunrise and deer! This year we took a short drive to Athens to see what Ohio University was all about! We found a gem at West End Ciderhouse!
Thank you again for sharing your blessings with us!!

Wonderful secluded place
My husband and myself were looking for a secluded getaway for a few days and thats just what we got. It was a wonderful cozy cabin complete with a hot tub and a nice fireplace. It was very clean and had nice touched like bath robes waiting for you. The view was the best part and we enjoyed watching the sunset from the front porch and walked around their property. We will definitely be back and had the best time.
THE CABIN WAS VERY NICE AND THE VIEW WAS FANTASTIC.
WE HAD A FEW MINOR SNAGS BUT THE OWNERS CORRECTED THEM QUICKLY. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAD A GAS GRILL THERE INSTEAD OF THE CHARCOAL, LESS WORK. WE USED THE HOT TUB ON THE LAST DAY AND ONLY HALF THE JETS WORKED AND IT KEPT SHUTTING OFF. SORRY BUT THE BEST RATING I COULD GIVE THIS IS 3 STARS OUT OF 5
Nice quiet property. Everything was as advertised. Would visit again.
