Why George Johnson, Jr. or Debbie Johnson chose Bailey Island
Just as with the 5 bedroom Nezinscott Cottage which they own and rent, and as with the house they live in, this house offers tenants access to Little Harbor; summer playground to multiple generations of the Johnson family. Located towards the southern end of Hugh Avenue, the Little Harbor Guest House sits above and away from Hugh Avenue, offering ocean views and sunrises. Modern in its design and concept, Debbie and George view this cute little house as a potential single-story retirement home for themselves. The year-round home is easily suited for 3 season living. In the meantime, before they "retire" they will operate it as a rental.
What makes this House unique
The lovely ocean breeze, sunrises, sunsets, and the constantly changing views of the ocean that surround us on Bailey Island are unique gifts, particularly in the summertime. Nearby access to the beach is a real bonus any time of year.

Thank you for your review. We hope to host you again on Bailey Island at the Little Harbor House.
Quiet cottage in great location on Bailey Island.
Clean small well-kept cottage located in very good location on Bailey Island. Very close to water with a scenic cove that you can walk to in 2 minutes. Giant's stairs are less than 5 minutes away as well as land's end. Owner's were very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife, 1 year old and I stayed and it was perfect size for us and had everything we needed. Highly recommend doing the sailing trips nearby and checking out Morse's for some really amazing food with gluten free options as well (lobster BLT mmmmm).
A slice of heaven on earth...
George & Debbie have thought of every comfort one could need! The guest house is so well situated to see and hear the ocean, relax with coffee on the porch in the morning, and completely get into "vacation mode". We had a magical week with our family and cannot wait to return! Thank you George & Debbie!
Very pleasant stay
It was very nice and quiet on the island. The house was great, the food at the local restaurants was good. Plenty of stuff to do right there on bailey island for a few days without leaving. Wish we stayed longer.
Perfect and peaceful place
We enjoyed staying at the Lil' Harbor house. It had everything we needed. Beautiful views.
Perfect cozy gateway place with a charming ocean view
Very clean and nicely decorated comfortable house with a great view on the ocean. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend.
Traffic does not drive directly in front of this cottage, nor turn around in the driveway. This cottage site is above Hugh Avenue and set back about 90 feet away from that road. The main road, Harpswell Islands Road is slightly visible from the western side of the cottage.
The deck is set to accommodate the easterly ocean views. The beach area is visible from the deck. Beach access is about 200 feet from the deck, and is through use of a path along the owners property to to a stairway leading to the beach at Little Harbor. (The stairway services the Nezinscott Cottage, the Little Harbor Guest House , and the owners' residence.) There are businesses which will rent, deliver, and pick up canoes and kayaks. Information about these businesses is provided in information material placed in a notebook at the cottage.
