Charming, peaceful hideaway
Very sweet little property nestled in the woods. Perfect location for access to Bridgeton, Norway, Paris or Bethel. The property manager, Kimberly, was very prompt and thorough in response to our questions.
A lovely stay in the woods
The house was clean and tidy and perfect for our family of 6.
We enjoyed being by the lake and in the woods.
Only a couple of minor things. The deck / patio was advertised as an amenity, but had no furniture to enjoy it.
The food in the pantry (left by past guests) needs to be cleaned out. The food was very out of date.
There were no wine glasses in the kitchen.
Silvia, we're glad you enjoyed your stay overall! The homeowner has let us know that they do provide chairs on the deck, but we're sorry if you missed them. They have added wine glasses for guests to use per your suggestion. The owners have also taken an inventory of the pantry and removed any outdated food. Guests are welcome to enjoy any of the durable items that remain. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your review, and we hope to host you again soon! Best, the Evolve Team
Very cute house and served our purpose. With a few improvements, it would be worth the money.
Outside, the house is in need of maintenance. The grounds are messy and there are wires and cables hanging from the porch. There is a swimming pool (covered) with leaves, frogs, and random equipment and garbage around.
Inside, the water pressure is not good. The shower is significantly impacted when the toilet is flushed or water is run elsewhere. The bathroom floors were dirty, there was food in the refrigerator, and the lighting in the house is very poor.
The house is not air conditioned and we stayed during an unseasonably hot long weekend. It was very difficult sleeping upstairs.
Kathy, we're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. This home undergoes regular maintenance, but it is located in the woods of Waterford, and guests can expect there to be leaves and natural debris from the trees. The cables you are referencing are deicing coils that keep ice off the roof in the wintertime. The homeowners appreciate your feedback and will be tidying the cables up so they aren't so noticeable. This home does not list the pool as an amenity for guests, which is why it is covered. The owner is unaware of any garbage that may have been left by previous guests but will be inspecting and addressing as necessary. The home's water supply is provided by a well source. While this is the first complaint the owner has received regarding the water pressure, they do want to note that showering and flushing toilets simultaneously is not recommended for homes on a well water source. The fridge is only stocked with condiments, but the owner will inspect the situation. Although the home isn't advertised as having A/C, we're sorry you experienced an unseasonably hot weekend during your stay. The owner hopes all guests will reach out while they are in residence with any concerns so they can address them promptly and ensure the most comfortable stay possible. We're confident this home will continue to host many satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team
Little cottage in the woods
It is quaint and cozy and quiet.
Great Lake vacation !
Had a wonderful time in Waterford! The lake was beautiful and easy access for our swimmers and kayakers alike . Our teenagers were up before us daily to catch some fish at the lake . The neighbors were so friendly offering my kids the use of their boogie boards etc. Big shout out to Larry who greeted us when we first arrived and took our boys out for a ride on his boat .Marty was easily accessible via email and answered any questions we had. Hope to visit again!
