About Mrs Mitzi Griffith
We live just outside Cambridge. We grew up in St Albans, but, when we married we could not afford a house so drove up the A1 until we could and ended up in Eaton Socon, we have stayed in the area ever since. We have 2 daughters and 5 grand children all boys and all amazing. We have a peace of land on which we keep goats, sheep and chickens when Mr Fox allows.
Mrs Mitzi Griffith purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why Mrs Mitzi Griffith chose Noyal-Pontivy
We wanted a holiday home in France had friends in the area who said they would look after a house if we found one. We found the fallen down remains of Ty Griffet, I could see the potential as soon as I saw the ruin, but the rest of the family were very dubious. Now we all love the house and spend as much time here are we can. The house is everything I wanted and more. We love the area, because it is easy to get, to with the dogs, the lack of traffic, the friendly people, what more can I say, perhaps I should mention the bread, wine, cakes, restuarants, quiet,
What makes this Cottage unique
The unique benefits of the house are the peace and quiet in the large garden outside. Inside it's the open architecture of the house with its high ceiling and open plan living area makes it an easy place to relax in. The house is our home from home and is decorated to a very high standard, not to a holiday gite standard. Everything is included in the rental, bedding, towels, internet, pool heating, electric, so no extras, to pay for on top of the rental cost.

Charming rural cottage.
The perfect rural location for truly relaxing get away. Endless opportunities for gentle cycling and walks. We spent many happy hours in the gardens with their abundance of flowers.
An unforgettable stay and somewhere we’d be sure to return to.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Ty Griffet.
A very relaxing stay in a charming, lovely cottage
We had a great week in this charming cottage. Lovingly renovated and well-equipped, it did everything it said on the tin.
It was also very easy to find, despite being buried deep in the Brittany countryside - we just put Ty Griffet into google maps and it took us straight there. And when we arrived there was a welcome pack of essential goodies waiting for us.
The house is well fitted out: The beds are very comfy, the internet is good, the pool temperature was spot-on and there was even a good selection of DVDs. There was no shortage of anything in the cupboards, although we didn't do any cooking. Except, of course, for crisping-up the french-bread to go with fresh prawns in their shells... my all-time favourite snack!
We loved the garden too: spacious, quiet and private - as did Ellie, our spaniel, who thought she owned the place.
The nearest town is Pontivy, which has many beautiful old buildings and is only 10 minutes away by car. And even if the French shops do seem to close at all hours of the day, the Inter-Marche supermarket has a great selection of fresh fish, wine and local cheeses. Even better, and much to our surprise and delight, they also stock a particularly nice local wheat beer (Britt Blanche)
To top it all, we had great weather too - over 30 degrees on several days.
All in all, a very relaxing stay in a charming, lovely cottage .
Thank you Julian for your wonderful review of our house. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the surrounding area. We love the house and Pontivy.
Thank you again.
Very comfortable and quiet house
If you are looking for somewhere to unwind away from it all then this is the place - very comfortable house in a private and quiet location.
We stayed with our two boys aged 11 and 12 and they enjoyed the pool.
Very central in Brittany so an ideal place if you want to explore the region.
This is one of the cleanest, best equipped holiday homes that we have stayed in.
Thank you for your lovely comments. we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the house clean and comfortable. Again thank you.
A fantastic house for a family. There's provision for all of the children from a 5 yr old to a 15 yr old with plenty of room for playing football or splashing in the pool. The tables outside are in the perfect position for a bit of late sun. Inside the house is beautifully decorated and spacious with everything you would want or need and Pontivy is well located for a trip to the beach, the lake or the fun parks. We had a brilliant holiday.
Thank you for your fantastic review of Ty Griffett. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay and liked the house and area.
Comfortable, beautiful house
We had a family holiday, 6 of us including our 6 month old grandson at the beginning of September 2015. Really lovely, well equipped, comfortable accommodation. Everything in the house was really well thought out and lots of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc. so made full use of the dishwasher! The welcome pack was really appreciated. Garden lovely and the pool was heated, even a BBQ. Absolutely no hesitation in staying there again and would strongly recommend it to our friends.
If you want to escape the rush of daily life, this is the perfect spot. Very quit, but with all the comforts you want on your holiday. It's located very centrally in Brittany, so also an ideal location to explore this beautiful part of France. This was our 4th time we went to Ty Griffit, and most likely not our last time.
Thank you for your review of Ty Griffett, we are very pleased you enjoy our house that you keep returning.
The longuere is close to the old town of Pontivy with cobbled streets wooden houses, an amazing range of shops, bars and restaurants. There are wonderful walks in the area, along the canal, by the river, in the woods or just in the countyside. Bicycles, canoes, boats, can be hired locally, and horse riding is available. Good restaurants, bars within a short drive. The people are very friendly.
Vannes is a beautiful old port and is the closest coast 30/40 minutes drive. With restaurants and bars overlooking the port and lovely market on Saturdays. Fantastic shopping. A lavoir (where the women did their washing) wonderful architecture.
Shopping to die for, clothes, food, presents, furniture.
There is so much history in the area you are spoilt for choice, Old towns, museums, churches, standing stones.
There is a market in one or other of the local towns nearly every day of the week so you can purchases all the wines, cheeses, meats, bread you can ever want.
