Foot friendly architecturally historic area with wide cobblestone streets make walking a real pleasure. Easy access by nearby public transportation to most all Manhattan destinations.
We (family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed in this huge loft in July 2016 and have nothing but good things to say about it and the area in which it is located.
The owners were very helpful in communicating prior to our visit it was better than we anticipated. It is very large and has all the necessary amenities. It is well maintained and clean and gave us everything we needed for a great holiday in New York. It is great for a family as it gives you all the space you could need with 2 lounge areas and large, well equipped kitchen and separate bedroom areas.
Well located within the TriBeCa area and is also on a nice quiet street. Being very close to a number of subway stations (we used Canal Street a lot) it has a number of nice restaurants/supermarkets/shops within the vicinity. An easy walk downtown - 15 minute walk to Ground Zero and 25 minute walk to Battery Park, where we took the Cruise to Liberty and Ellis Island. It is also within walking distance (if you are happy to walk) of Greenwich Village and East Village, China Town and Little Italy. It is also very easy to go uptown via subway.
I would recommend this to anyone and if we go back to NYC we would certainly visit again. Thanks to the owners.
We were two couples traveling to NYC for a long weekend. The layout of the apartment is great since there is a bedroom and bathroom at each end of the unit. The unit is also quite large so there was plenty of privacy while, at the same time, a great TV area for us to gather in the morning and evenings.
The location is fantastic and we were able to walk to the Financial District, Little Italy, Greenwich Village, and SoHo. If you are looking for OUTSTANDING pizza, we recommend Luzzo's right around the corner from the apartment.
The owner was easy to work with and gave us early check-in as well as late check-out. Thank you, Jillian! We highly recommend this property and look forward to a return visit!
Excellent location and very helpful owner. Tribeca was fab for getting a feel for urban Manhattan living, really interesting buildings everywhere and lovely restaurants very close. Franklin metro station literally just up the road, super convenient:)
Apartment was spotless and most wonderfully very spacious, a real boon in downtown Manhattan with space at such a premium, we have American friends who visited us who could not believe the space we had! Kitchen also good and well equipped.
It's quite quirky, which we liked, probably an ex warehouse? Very high ceilings and mad light switch locations:) Only possible negative is that we had a young kid with us and the bedrooms are NOT separate, they have walls but no ceiling so any/all noise from rest of apartment will affect the bedrooms.
Jillian (owner) was really helpful, made all the difference when booking an apartment on other side of the world, we really appreciated the personal touch:)
In short highly recommended! (PS We do holiday rentals for a business ourselves and are VERY fussy!)
Our family of four recently stayed here for 5 nights during a trip to NYC. We were initially somewhat wary given that this was our first time using an apartment sharing site, but we couldn't have been happier with the experience! The apartment was clean and exactly as described and pictured. The owners were courteous and prompt with their correspondence, and we received detailed instructions about everything in the apartment from the cable box to the washer/dryer, which took all the guess work out. We loved the fact that the apartment had 2 sides to it, which gave our children their own side to sleep on where we wouldn't disturb them at night. The location is great, with lots of restaurants and family friendly activities within walking distance or a short cab ride away. There are many subways in the area, and the west side highway is just a few blocks away. A top notch apartment and experience that we would definitely recommend to friends and family!!
We had a team of 6 co-workers stay in the "big" apartmernt, and we had a GREAT experience! The apartment is in great condition, and the layout was perfect for us to not step on each other's toes. The location is AWESOME -- great options to eat nearby, and a very short walk to the subway. The kitchen was well equipped, and they also provided nice towels and sheets. The owner was very responsive to our requests, and the whole process was very easy - from reserving the space, to getting the keys, to getting refunded for our deposit. We are definitely keeping the info for future visits! Highly recommend.
My family of 5 spent a wonderful weekend at this apartment. It was furnished well, extremely spacious and perfectly maintained. Perhaps most importantly, the owner was responsive, cooperative and very helpful. I was so pleased with my experience that I am already arranging another rental with this owner. A special bonus was that the neighborhood had all of the necessary shops and amenities AND some of the best restaurants in Manhattan.
Living during 10 days in an apartment in Tribeca is for a first visit to New York City a wonderful experience. Situated in a trendy and cosy neighborhoud at walking distance from Lower Manhattan, China Town and the Hudson River, it gives you an ideal step-up for discovering Manhattan. Metro stations nearby bring you in minutes to Midtown and Central Park and in about an hour to JFK.
The apartment itself is spacious, tastefully furnished and has a well equipped kitchen. Paintings all over the place create a modern arty atmosphere that we enjoyed every day of our stay there.
Ideal place for two couples who want an active stay in New York and feel home after a busy day visiting the museums or exploring Manhattan. Highly recommended for bikers (bike rentals in Battery Park Pier A).
We hope to go back soon.
One of New York's trendiest most desirable areas. This downtown family friendly land marked historic district with wide cobblestone streets is just a few blocks from both the galleries and boutique shopping of Soho and the great 4 star restaurants in the heart of Tribeca. A short walk to Chinatown, Soho, Chelsea and Greenwich Village and 4 blocks from the Hudson River Promenade, where there are miles of uninterrupted biking and jogging paths along the waterfront that go all the way uptown, as well as several lovely waterfront parks, including Chelsea Piers. Many art galleries, lovely designer stores with a real NYC neighborhood feel. Much local celeb spotting, as this is a downtown working locations area, with many films being shot on location nearby.
Other Activities: trapeze school. Departure for Statue of Liberty,
Hudson River Promenade, Mini Golf, Tennis, Basketball, Boating
