The house gave the family room to have personal space while at the same time having a place to visit. Was walking distance to downtown, train, ferry, and the attractions.
We are pleased with everything here. Having a wonderful visit with our family.
I was in town on business with a colleague and we decided to bring our families to enjoy Salem. Belle Femme and Liann did not disappoint. The house was impeccably clean and had all the right touches to complete our stay.
Thank you for your hospitality... looking forward to visiting again sometime.
Albert Family’s Reunion
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Belle Femme. A couple minor issues were immediately resolved to our satisfaction, thanks to the quick, friendly and professional responsiveness of our lovely hostess, Lianne. The property was Definitely as advertised.. a lovely historic old home.
As an improvement for future guests, I would recommend an improved supply of toilet paper. Even though it was advertised as such, One roll per bathroom for 12 guests is a bit too conservative. I am a frequent user of vacation rental properties all over the IS and internationally, and have never had less than an unlimited supply of TP. Cheap and a nice convenience(necessity) for guests.
I would also recommend portable or window air conditioners for the main living areas.
Thanks again Lianne
Belle Femme was a gorgeous, historical home in the thick of Salem. Liann was present upon arrival and took care to have repairmen in while we were at a family affair. We had 12 family members in town for a wedding and could not have been happier with our stay. Liann also let some of our group in early to drop off wedding favor bags and a birthday cake prior to check in. It was a dream to book and stay. I highly recommend for large groups.
Great property. Very clean and pretty. However, I rented this because I needed bedrooms for all my guests, and when we arrived there were only air conditioners in 3 of the 6 bedrooms, so my niece had to sleep with her parents even though the ad stated that guests were able to control the AC temp in their own room. It was quite hot and humid that weekend, it would have been nice to have had a couple of portable fans on the first level. Other than the kitchen ceiling fan, there was no other fan on than level when watching TV or eating in the dining room.
