Situated on the ground floor, this apartment has three twin bedded rooms, one with bathroom en-suite and the other two sharing bathroom with bath/shower and wash hand basin, and adjoining toilet with wash hand basin. The spacious lounge/dining room has three raffia work chairs and divan/ sofa-bed and leads out on to the terrace where there is two tables and eight chairs for al-fresco dining and a gate which takes you to the garden and swimming pool. Incorporated in the lounge is a fully fitted kitchenette with hob/oven, refrigerator and microwave, there is also a second 'fridge in the lounge.

Appealing small apartment block set on a hill overlooking Albufeira old town, ideal for family holidays and close to all amenities;beach, sea and town, which has many restaurants and entertainment. Also central for all Algarve golf courses. Apartments are furnished to a very high standard with open plan living dining area, fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette and most have satellite T.V. Maid service three times a week, which includes linen changed once and towels twice. The two bedroom has a balcony overlooking the pool, and the one and three bedroom are on the ground floor with large private patio, surrounded by pretty gardens and quiet, spacious gated pool area which has a children pool divided from main pool, and poolside snack bar serving very tasty homemade snacks. All apartments are equipped with a safe. A local bus stops outside the apartments if you wish to explore without hiring a car. Car hire can be arranged. This is a family complex so, sorry, NO SINGLES. Free Wi-Fi in all apartments.

Transport: Transport can be arranged from and to the airport by taxi or mini-bus.

About Mrs Louise Hodgson

My husband and I have lived in Abufeira for 46 years., coming to Albufeira in 1969, having our own hotel until 1984 when we moved on to run the Quinta da Saudade restaurant for 22 years. We live next door to the Vale Santa Maria apartments and know the area very well, so able to offer information on transport, sightseeing, local attractions, doctors, dentists etc. We love Albufeira and surrounding areas, paricularly this side of Albufeira.

Apartments are spacious, very comfortably furnished, not noisy. Poolside has attractive small pool bar serving drinks and homemade snacks. Ten minute walk to beach and the Old Town, where there is very ambient atmosphere day and night, plenty of bars and restaurants. The marina is fifteen minutes walk and offers boat trips, jet ski, deep sea fishhing..

Fabulous apartment with perfect service

We stayed in this apartment for 8 nights in August of this year with our four children. The apartment was spacious and clean and had all the facilities you could need.

The apartment is within easy walking distance of the beach and the old town. There are also restaurants and bars within a couple of hundred metres if you are feeling lazy!!

The personal service that Louise Hodgson gave us from the minute we enquired about the apartment was second to none. She arranged taxi transfers, basic provisions for us upon arrival as our filght was a arriving late and met us at the apartment to show us round even though it was past midnight. The pool area is very well kept and has a snack bar with delicious snacks it is run by Louise and her husband Keith. They were always on hand to offer advice on trips, restaurants etc and managed the perfect balance between being helful but not obtrusive. I would definately recommend this apartment and would have no hesitation in booking again next time I am in Portugal not least to enjoy the wonderful hospitality we experienced first time around. fantastic holdiday in Algarve

In july this summer we was two families from Norway who

stayed in this apartments. The apartments was very very nice. We had a great time.

It was near the beach and the old town.

Louise was very helpful and nice.

We are coming back!

nice spacious accomodation in central location

the apartment far exceeded our expectations as it was a last minute booking and louise was extremely helpful before and during our stay. the apartment had everything required and more. it was clean, the maid attended regularly doing much more than she should of espcially as there was 5 lads in the apartment.

i would recommend a stay here and if i go back shall be staying here again. its cheap, clean, a good location in relation to the old town/beach.

Albufeira is at the centre of the Algarve, with the Capital Faro 30 Km to the east and the Spanish border only 60 Km away. Portimao, which has large fishing port and Marina lies 25km to the west. A further 30Kms. brings you to Sagres and Cape St. Vincent, the most westerly point in Europe, where turning up the West Coast the sea is perfect for surfing. Moving inland to Silves, which was originally the Capital of the Algarve, there are steep narrow roads leading to a Moorish ruined castle. Traveling on North about 20Km brings you to the Monchique hills which separate the Algarve from the Alentejo, (a large farming area) Lisbon and the North of Portugal. From the top of Monchique there are spectacular views across the Algarve. There are several water slide parks and Zoomarine, the nearest being fifteen minutes by car. Taxis or local buses are very reasonably priced.
