Paphos & Suburbs Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1 bedroomed apartment close to harbour and beach

Paradise Gardens IV (which has recently won an International 4 star award for best Cypriot development) is located in a quiet residential area on the very edge of all that Kato Paphos has to offer. Within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour, bars and restaurants, this complex is unique in its private location and intimate layout. This peaceful setting is ideal for getting away from it all and having a relaxing holiday, the perfect location to just lay back and recharge your batteries. The apartment is part of a small intimate complex set in beautifully landscaped gardens, with two swimming pools, this is truly paradise. Air conditioning is included in the price. I feel I have included everything you could possibly need to make it a comfortable stay.

A bus runs from the bus stop at the top of the complex to Debenhams (near the harbour) every 30 mins at 20 to and 10 past the hour. From 08.40 to 18.00 ish in the winter and 23.00 ish in the summer 1 Euro 50 cents for a single journey. Every hour in the summer from approx 4pm.

This immaculate first floor, airconditioned apartment will accommodate 2 people. It has a fully fitted kitchen, lounge with two sofas and dining area with table and 4 chairs, fully tiled bathroom and double bedroom. All windows have fly screens fitted. The lounge leads directly onto a very private tree shaded balcony, providing welcome respite from the sun, a cool oasis in the heat of the day and the perfect place for those pre-dinner cocktails and Al Fresco eating.

There are 2 sunbeds, a table & 2 chairs, an umbrella & clothes dryer.

There are Ceiling fans in the living room, dining room and Bedroom. There are 2 air conditioning units one in the living area & one in the bedroom for the hotter months when the fans are not enough.

For the winter months there are wall mounted radiators in the living area and bedroom. Also carpets and throws.

This small residential resort complex is a mix of maisonettes and 4 apartment blocks. The apartment has a lovely pool view, although it is far enough away to ensure your privacy, and overlooks landscaped gardens and trees.

There is a caretaker week days located in the small office by the pool who can help with problems regarding the complex. Also the apartment manager lives onsite and is always happy to help with problems with the apartment. There are 2 Mini-Markets suitable for all your immediate needs located either side of the access road to the complex (about 50m), there is also a taverna next to the mini market Pambi's diner which is a firm favourite with our guests, locals & us!

Larger supermarkets are about a 5 minute drive, or opposite the bus station if you go by bus. The local pubs, tavernas/restaurants and bar street are a 15 minute stroll. The harbour and beach are a 20 minute stroll from the apartment or catch the bus from the entrance of the complex every 30 mins. In short you have the best of both worlds, a quiet peaceful location to relax in, with all the nightlife you could wish for only a few minutes away

This is a unique complex very private and quiet, a little oasis set back from the main road. Yet only a short walk from the hub of Paphos centre and harbour.

About Mrs Lynn Yeomans

I am English was born in Beverley East Yorkshire and am in my early 50's.

I currently live in Paphos Cyprus.

I am married with 2 grown up children and 2 beautiful granddaughters.

Mrs Lynn Yeomans purchased this apartment in 2004

Why Mrs Lynn Yeomans chose Paphos & Suburbs

I bought this property off plan in 2004 and it was ready to move in October 2005.

I chose it because it is so different to the other complexes in Paphos. It is not set in the usual circle around a pool and from what I have seen quite unique in its design. One long row of properties all South facing over trees and fields making it feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet within a few minutes walk you are in the heart of Kato Paphos with its restaurants, bars, tavernas, beaches and harbour. I have a lovely view of the pool without being on top of it which makes it very private.

I have made the apartment a home from home so it doesn't give the soul less feeling you get when you walk into the majority of holiday homes.

What makes this apartment unique

Being able to sit on the balcony even in the middle of the day in summer because of the lovely shade provided by the trees. The sun can be fierce in July and August and unpleasant to sit outside and have a leisurely lunch without shade. So it is a real bonus.

It is so private I regularily have my breakfast sat on my balcony in my Pyjamas! It is lovely to sit with a cup of tea first thing in the morning and listen to the birds sing in the trees and the donkeys braying in the field nearby.

But walk outside the front door and within 2 minutes you are at the local mini market or the Pambis diner (local taverna).

Also the bus stop is at the top of the complex which takes you to the harbour. Or take a gentle 20 minute stroll to the harbour with no hills!!

The choice of two pools one with full sun the other (closest to me) with some welcome shade.

Having my manager live in the same complex so she is around to offer help and advice.

I live close by so can be contacted for problems.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Lynn

We had a nice time in Cyprus the highlight being your lovely apartment. It was so nice to come home to after the heat of the day. We loved having the trees and flowers all around us.

Thank you so much.

Best wishes

A quiet complex well maintained with 2 pools and shaded areas

  • 5 of 5

A well maintained apartment with everything provided that you would think of.

Not as far as it would seem from the Harbour and the many Bars in Pathos for walkers

the 2 pools where clean and well maintained

We would highly recommend this property for a quiet and relaxing stay

Set in a peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

Great property, everything you needed, including a coffee press!!!! We used to go to Lidl, grab a couple of pastries and sit on shaded balcony ( ideal when you want to get out of the sun and cool down)with a coffee first thing in morning deciding what to do for the day. There are a couple of sunbeds which are really useful if you wish to venture to the beach. As well as a cool bag. We only managed to get to the pool a couple of times and had no trouble finding beds.

The Pambis bar round the corner was great for meals and drinks really cheap. A short 10-15 min walk would get you to the bar street area with plenty more eating and drinking places. On the way we used to call in the Rugby Arms pub which was really friendly. The harbour was a further 5 mins walk.

All in all the apartment was lovely and clean and catered for our every needs for our 2 weeks holiday and would highly recommend. Christine who lived below was really helpful.

Great chilled 2 weeks, thank you

A perfect private holiday rental apartment - with Lucky sunny winter weather.

  • 5 of 5

There's everything any couple might want. Very well thought out and equipped. Lynn was very kind , helpful and generous and Christine downstairs lovely too.

Reasonable walk distance to the sea and facilities in Paphos. Quiet safe situation with parking.

We stayed in Feb and were so lucky with the weather- even sea swimming on 5 days of the 10.

Loved the little secluded coves up and down the coasts or sunbathing and picnics.

Great holiday, thank you

Lovely apartment for a super Winter break

  • 5 of 5

Mal and I stayed here for 7 nights arriving 5 December. We were on the look out for a property in the Paphos area. The apartment is fantastically placed for Paphos town and the Harbour. We walked down to the Harbour and shops/restaurants most days, it only take 15/20 mins.

The apartment is very well equipped - pretty much everything you would need for a self catering break is included and it is well thought out. We did not get to use the pool area on this visit; even though it was December and quite warm in the daytime, we were busy searching out properties. The evenings were quite chilly but the apartment had plenty of heaters available which made it very cosy the nights we stayed in and watched some of DVDs available.

Close by the apartment there is a bus stop which serves the Harbour area but of course you can go further - we loved the public bus service. There are two, small good supermarkets close by as well which stock most of your basic foodstuffs, wine etc. Pambi's Diner is good too - if there is evening entertainment, do try and catch it!!

All in all a great week. Thank you both Lynn and Granville - it was a pleasure to meet you both and again, thank you for your time in showing us some of the sights, very much appreciated.

Paradise Garders IV - Revisited

  • 5 of 5

Having spent a most enjoyable two weeks at Paradise Gardens in Cyprus 2014, and still having things to see and do, we had no hesitation in contacting Lynn and Granville, almost immediately on our return, to book their excellent apartment once again.

Unfortunately for us (but fortunately for Lynn and Granville) their apartment was so much in demand we could not get the same dates, but could be accommodated 2 weeks later.

On our eventual arrival, the apartment was as beautiful, clean and well equipped as we remembered, the air conditioning and fans were needed occasionally when the weather became exceptionally hot, even for the end of September! The private, shaded and peaceful balcony was used for all our meals.

We wasted no time the following morning and walked to Paphos Kato (15 minutes) and the Supermarket to stock up with essentials (food and drink) for when we stayed around the complex, and not sampling the many Taverners and Restaurants suggested by Lynn and previous guests.

On the days not spent at the two adjacent pools (which we occasionally had to ourselves), we took off on one of the 3 excursions we had pre-booked: Troodos Mountains; Famagusta; and Latchi (which included Aphrodite’s Paths, Boat trip, Lunch and a visit to Sterna Winery) this last trip was suggested by our airport transfer taxi driver.

The nearby Farm Shop and Convenience Store were handy for any other items required during our stay. The local diner Pambis, still catered for all tastes, a drink and/or a meal. On our last evening dining there, Elvis (Smelvis) was in the building!

Once again all things being well, we shall be re-booking the Apartment again in 2016 and have no problem recommending Paradise Gardens IV to family and friends

Paphos simply has too much on offer to list. This world heritage site has everything for the culture vulture, the sun lover and everyone in-between. At the harbour there are the house of dionysus mosiacs and a little further on the catacombs and the tomb of the kings. A full range of watersports are available locally, from sub-aqua to those 'traditional' white knuckle water rides. Boat trips depart from the harbour area on a regular basis, exploring the local coastline inc fishing and glass bottom boat trips

The Troodos Mountains and Akamas peninsula are only a short drive away (about an hour), perfect for those interested in trekking, walking or just touring in the car. Of course, in the winter months ski-ing is also possible in Troodos with 4 Ski lifts and several cafes/restaurants at Mount Olympus

Also Polis and Latchi with it's picturesque harbour and wonderful seafood restaurants, and the baths of Aphrodite.

The rock of Aphrodite and Kourion site are also well worth a visit.
