Walking Distance to Downtown
About Mary Kabat
Our first trip to Prescott was in September, 2013, and the VRBO house that we rented was a hub to all the activities that we had planned. We spent time at the Grand Canyon, planned a balloon ride in Sedona, went horseback riding, golfing and rented a jeep for the day. It was such a great trip that we came back in November and began looking at properties. We purchased this home in the summer of 2014 and spent a year updating it for a VRBO. We welcome you to be one of the first to stay in our Prescott Vacation Home. Feel free to call with any questions. Mary & Jerry Kabat

Why Mary Kabat chose Prescott
We are from the Midwest so what we loved about this area included the following: Cool Summers, Warmer Winters, Green Foliage and Changing Fall Colors. Prescott is centrally located to so many places to go and see... you can travel north to higher elevations or south to the big city life and much warmer climates! We purchased this home for the location to the downtown area. We wanted to be walking distance to town, banks, restaurants and a grocery store.
What makes this House unique
"Why Prescott? According to the readers and published by the Daily Courier: "Nestled in the conifer forests of the Bradshaw Mountains, Prescott is a historic city boasting much in the way of adventure and culture. Golfers flock to its six pristine courses, while outdoor enthusiasts find exciting hiking trails, secluded picnicking spots and adventure on the waters of its five lakes. Discover the history of the Old West in the city's museums, historic railways and the Pioneer Home Cemetery, where "Big Nose Kate" Elder, wife of Doc Holiday, found her final resting place." Prescott is #3 of the Top destinations on the rise in the U.S.

Family girls trip!
We had a fabulous time in this wonderful town. So walkable and loved the older homes. Getting out and driving to Jerome and Sedona is a must! House is keeping with feel of rest of Prescott. I believe it is over 100 years old? Jerry was very accommodating to our needs and house is as presented on website. Perfect location! And if one has questions, the welcome book for guests is best one I’ve seen with pictures and full explanation.
Jerry was very accommodating and helpful!
Virginia House is equipped with everything that you may need and is close to Mount Vernon / Downtown.
Front and backyard is very nice and we loved the bbq grill
Would defiantly recommend
Thank you Jerry and Mary for your hospitality!
Stunning makeover, tasteful & simple decor, fully equipped with all ones needs, superior appliances, dreamy bed & linens, lovely front yard & landscaping, relaxing porch & rockers, miniature putting green and games, 4 televisions, easy WiFi hookup, complete kitchen dishes & cooking pans, & comfy living area furniture.
Upon arriving, we wanted to watch the Open Golf Tournament. Finding it not available, we called Jerry & we were hooked up immediately. We were grateful we could vacation the month with our dog, Webster. Unfortunately, the house is located amid other historic homes not enjoying the improvements the Virginia House has had. (Having said that, the neighborhood is quiet.) However, it is an easy walk to Town Square and beautiful Prescott library. It further is enhanced by the short walks to 2 amazing breakfast & lunch spots -- Waffle Iron & Berry's Breakfast and Pies. We enjoyed 7 pies while there !! (50 cents off when you return the pie plates. ) We would totally recommend the Virginia House!!
Wonderful Family Getaway
Our stay at the Virginia House couldn't have been better. The property offered everything we could want for an enjoyable stay. With upgrades throughout, the home is cozy and inviting. The beds are really comfortable and thoughtful amenities throughout were appreciated. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful fenced in yard which was perfect for our small dogs. Will definitely come back for another stay!
Everything in this historic home was as advertised. Lovely accommodations for our two week stay.
Jerry was most accommodating and available to answer any questions we had. We would for sure stay in The Virginia House again. Perfect! There was plenty of room, the house is very clean with a well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill for BBQ-ing. You'll have a great time exploring Prescott from this centrally located home.

From checking in to checking out, our experience staying at the Virginia House was wonderful! The house is adorable, clean, and well appointed. Thanks Jerry and Mary for providing us the perfect home base while we attended our niece’s wedding and festivities.
