Four Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 9
It was a great rental. We knew it would be a challenge with one bathroom but we worked it out. We are the least group of primpers yet a mirror in other rooms would have been helpful as well as one more fan for a hot bedroom. Loved the location with Uber. Thank you for all the communication. Loved the space to rest our heads.
Run down house but clean and convenient location. Very good unit for the price.
The problems with the house included that the door knob fell off one of the bedrooms trapping a guest in the room for 3 1/2 hours while the other guests were at a concert. He did not have the contact info for the owner so stayed stuck. Also, the door to the master bedroom wouldn't stay closed so had to be blocked shut. It looked like someone had previously kicked out the door and it hadn't been fixed.
There were ants in the kitchen sink and we aren't used to that coming from the Pacific Northwest.
Good aspects were that the kitchen was well stocked with coffee, sugar, creamer, and basic appliances. It would have been nice to have more than 4 glasses given the number of people the house sleeps. There were lots of coffee mugs though so there was a workaround.
It was nice to have double beds in all four bedrooms.
Overall, the house was clean and convenient. Although we didn't need it, it is on a bus route. We were grateful for the dedicated parking spot for our rental car since there is not a lot of parking in that area.
Not as Advertised
First let me say that overall we did have a positive experience. Howard was very responsive to communications. The location and parking was very convenient. The unit we stayed in will someday be nice but it is not there yet. The photos on the website are of a completed unit not the one we stayed in. We basically had 3 major issues in order of importance.
1.No door to the unfinished basement. Thankfully we did not have small children or this would have been a deal-breaker for us. Al that is there is an unfinished opening to the stairs, very unattractive and creepy.
2. No finished floor in the kitchen, just un-level concrete, very bizarre. My wife was blown away by this one.
3. Where is the furniture??? No dressers, No lamps, few tables. A futon and 2 sketchy chairs in the living room. We had to live out of suitcases placed on the floor for 10 days.
Let me says the beds were great, bedding great, Towels great, bathroom great. Kitchen fine except for the floor. I said several times during out stay if Howard would give me about $1500 I could have made this a very nice complete experience. We actually purchased a $10 lamp for the living room to avoid the harsh ceiling light. a little bit of money spent for a major improvement. One last issue for me was the lack of decent cable. About 15 channels that was it.
As we explained to you wife, the floor is being refinished in the summer as the sealant is too stinky to do in the winter time :( we did have more lamps and tables, but they were subsequently broken by prior guests. We have since gotten more tables and lamps, and will have the basement doors in by the end of February!
Me & My Family Really Loved It Here It Was Just Right For My Family Lots Of Room Clean It Even Had Extras If You Forgot Something Howard Was A Great Host Made Sure Everything Was Okay With Us I Would Love To Stay Here Again
Our family, 8 in all, stayed at your place. We had a nice time there. Enough room for everyone to eat and sleep. We did eat several meals there and, if I could offer a very minor suggestion, we didn't have enough forks to eat with. (I understand how those kinds of things "grow legs and disappear"!!)
We also had a bit of a problem with the TV, couldn't get it to work, but we didn't go there to watch TV so that wasn't a real problem. We would stay there again.
