Home is very spacious with almost 1500 sq. ft of space with large rooms and large master bath. Home sleeps 8 nicely in beds and if you don't mind couches or air matresses feel free to have a few more, maximum 10.
Private boat launch is just around the corner less than a mile away.
There is plenty of parking on this large 1/4 acre lot that also features large decks, gas and charcoal grills.
This rental home was perfect for our stay. It has everything you would need and more. The kitchen is well stocked as is towels and linens. Very clean and a great location. This is our second year at Silver Lake riding the Dunes. This house is the perfect location just down the road to the Dunes. The gaming systems at house were a big hit, especially Mario Cart. Silver Lake is a perfect location for a family vacation from riding the Dunes, put put golf, go karts, and WhippyDip ice cream. We will definitely be back next year. Thanks Rod for a great place to stay.

This was a great house, great location. Nice little details added. Like hair dryers and curling irons, band aids and lotions. It was perfect size for the five of us. Having fire pit was nice. ( I think you should stock the wood pile and have people pay per bundle they use).
Thanks for a great time.
Our family spent a week at the About Time house in Silver Lake. We loved it.
It was clean and well-appointed. We were grateful that it included towels and linens and that we didn't have to tote our own. Comfortable beds and furniture. Our teens loved the Papasan and foof chair in the living room. They each claimed one as their own as soon as we arrived.
We made all of our meals at home. The kitchen was well-stocked..including a Keurig coffee maker.
The split layout...2 bedrooms at one end of the house and the master at the other end..was perfect for privacy. The kids had their full bath and we had the master.
The washer/dryer was a plus. We did a couple loads at the end of the week and it was nice to go home with a suitcase of CLEAN clothes.
We were a little concerned about the location being so close to the road that people line up on to buy vouchers for the dunes, but that ended up being a non-issue. The dunes are busy on the weekends, but not bad during the week. The voucher line was over 3 miles long at one point...but it didn't really interfere with us getting around.
With 2 teens, we used the WIFI often. The signal was not great, but much better than anywhere else in town. When we left the house, we had no signal anywhere in the Silver Lake area except for ON the dunes.
Unfortunately, we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the fire pit until our last night. It was a great place for a camp fire. We were wishing we'd done that earlier in our week.
Close to town...a few minute drive...but out of the chaos. We rode bikes into town. My husband, an avid cyclist, rode to Pentwater a few times. He said it was a great place to ride.
We spent a lot of time in town with friends who were camping. No more camping for us. We loved coming back to our A/C, hot showers and comfy beds...not to mention the Keurig coffee in the morning. Since the house has no dishwasher or garbage disposal, that's pretty much camping, right?
We hope to come back next year.

This is a lovely home and our family had a wonderful time here! The large deck is great for having a cook-out. There are lawn chairs and tables available and a nice fire pit (bring your own wood) for campfires. The rooms inside are spacious and decorated very nicely. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pans and bowls to work with. There is no garbage disposal or dishwasher, but we always bring paper plates, bowls, cups and plastic silverware to cut down on clean-up time anyway, so we didn't find it to be a problem. Sheets and towels are also provided which is a big help!! The bathrooms are very nice, both with tub/shower combinations. You will need the password to connect to WI-FI and for watching movies. You can't see Upper Silver Lake from inside the home (except from one bedroom). There are houses across the street, so they actually have the great lake view. We found this area to be a very peaceful, quiet and relaxing neighborhood! You are close to the shops, the state park, sand dunes and Mac Woods Dune Rides. Pentwater is not far away with more shops and another state park. Walking the pier in Ludington is a must as well as eating at the House of Flavors in both Pentwater and Ludington. We would highly recommend this vacation spot! Doug and Anne
