Large, fast, undulating greens make this course challenging and fun for all levels of golfers. Conveniently located just minutes from Disney and all major attractions, Highlands Reserve Golf Club is a Central Florida favorite.

The style of this unique golf course will be familar to those who have played the great old courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International Course offers hard, fast fairways and bunkers that could have been shaped by the winds off the North Sea. Truly one of America's most distinctive golf challenges.
The concierge desk offers golf packages to all the major golf courses located in the surrounding area.
After looking extensively across the Disney Landscape, we decided the best place for our family vacation home would be the Regal Palms Resort. We loved the location, the amenities, and the setting of the Regal Palms Resort. It felt like a second home, and since we can only visit a couple of times a year, we decided to share our vacation home with other people so that they can enjoy a second vacation home as well. In the same instance, by sharing our townhome, it will help us defray the costs of owning a second home as we are just a simple family consisting of a project manager, a teacher with 1 child in college, and another going soon. Please treat our home with the same respect you would yours and we will always look to make the improvements in our home to make your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible.
Steven purchased this villa in 2005
It was located in an ideal location only 7 miles from Disney World, away from the big lights of World Drive and 172, but close enough to visit. The Regal Palms resort was the only community that operated like a hotel resort and allowed 24/7/365 check in and security. The resort amenities are second to none. In addition, this townhome location within the resort is also in a perfect location - our backyard does not face any townhome, we are on a corner lot. We have the largest square footage of any townhome, 1,700 sq ft. 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, with two master suites, one downstairs and one upstairs. It is truly a home away from home.
Each year we strive to improve our townhome to make it a little more luxurious and comfortable for us and our guests.
- We upgraded the complete downstairs to tile flooring
- We upgraded Mattresses/Box Springs
- We added Wi-Fi Internet Access
- We added a 50' VISIO LED TV
- We added TV's into 3 out of the 4 bedrooms
In addition the resort has the following amenities
- 3 pools
- Fitness Center
- Full service Spa
- Poolside Tiki Bar
- Children's playground
- Banana Jack's Children's Entertainment Center
- Beach Volleyball court
- Sun decks
- Hot Tub
- Convenience Store
- Highland Reserver Golf Club
I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed my stay at the townhouse and I look forward to coming back...
Was greeted nicely by front desk staff - better lobbyand first impressions than expected.
Unit was a corner unit which is always a plus - very clean and extremely spacious. You can tell the owners take good care of this property and want their guests to feel at home.
Accomodations were generous to say the least - 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms make enough space for a big family or small. Everything was working and in good order. On the one occasion we needed some help from the propoerty management on a minor item, they came and went quickly and resolved without hesitation.
The grounds are well kept and a lot of families. The pool area is incredible with a great slide that kids will use again and again. The lazy river was also a huge plus.
The proximity to Disney is such a huge plus I can't explain it - even with traffic you are no more than 10-15min away. And easy to get to.
The restaurants nearby are fine and vary in offerings. There are stores for whatever you need and a huge supermarket within walking ditance.
But most of all, you can tell the unit is taken care of and the owners want people to come back - I wish more people took care of their investments like this owner does.
Our Family stayed at this townhouse for 3 nights with a party of 10 people ages 62 to 5. The Owner was very nice and accommodating. The reservation process was very quick. When checking in we were greeted in the Resort office by at least 3 other families staying at this resort (Regal Palms) complaining about roaches in their townhouses and their rooms being dirty. I didn't pay it too much attention as each location is individually owned and they are not all attached to each other. So we check in get to this townhouse the decor is very basic and simple. Lay out of the furniture in living room needs to be adjusted as love seat is directly in front of the sliding glass door. Needs some rugs as well to soften the room. Anyway back to the accommodations...You only get 2 flat pillows on the Queen and King beds. The first night my husband wakes up and feels something crawling on him so he brushes his shoulder to fling it off of him. He gets up to see what it was and it was a roach (yeah a roach just like the other guest complained about in the office) We later found a few dead in the corner of the room. There are no paper towels, hand soaps, or garbage bags in the townhouse (you normally get the small sample packs and a least 1 roll of paper towels and a few garbage bags). The had issues with small sugar ants in the kitchen coming in through tiny pin holes in the wall (they ended up in some of our packages when we got home) Had issues with the fridge not getting cold. Called the front desk and they sent someone very quickly to fix it (however when packing up our food from the fridge everything was wet I guess it stopped working again) The Resort is nice and highly recommended we have stayed here many times however we normally book directly through the resort and not individual owners. I really hate to give this townhouse a bad review as the owner was so nice and swift but I have to.
The stay was excellent. I am looking forward to renting again in the future. Everything was in good distance from the property. The property itself was very spacious. There are only 2 requests if possible to be fulfilled: The 4th bedroom needs to have a TV in there as well. For this trip, it was not required mainly because no kids were there but it will be nice to have in case you have those with kids that will use that room. My other request would be to see if you have the cable receiver boxes added to every room. Currently the living room only has it and it would be great if all the rooms have it so that way everyone can look at different programming without sharing. Overall the trip and the property was great and I will be recommending to family and friends who decides to visit Florida to lookup your property. Thanks!!
The property was clean and exactly as pictured. The decor is a bit plain, but that's to be expected with a rental property.
There was no DVD player in the unit, and a write-up on recent upgrades said it was supposed to have one, so I don't know if it was broken or taken out recently. This was not really a big issue for us because my 2 and 4 year olds enjoyed watching Disney Junior and we didn't need the movies we brought to entertain them. The cable in the living room and televisions in 3 of the 4 bedrooms were nice.
The dishwasher had to be put through several cycles to actually clean the dishes, but it works eventually.
We saw a few sugar ants while we were there, but they weren't numerous, and we kept things clean so they did not find anything to make them come in masses.
There were no dish towels in the kitchen or a hand towel in the downstairs guest bath. Nor were there foot towels to lay outside the tubs so you don't slip. These would have been nice, but we just used regular towels for outside the tub floor and I went to Walmart and bought Disney hand towels for the kitchen and half bath, then took them home as souvenirs.
A few other things the house does not have to consider when you come, depending on how much cooking you plan to do (we like to cook): no mixer (hand or otherwise) or wisk, no measuring cups or spoons. I'm not sure if you can request these from the front desk or not. There was also only one frying pan, so cooking for 7 people went a little slow sometimes, but we made it work.
Some things I suggest you bring (or buy once there) if you plan to cook: child friendly dishware or stemware (if you have young children), Ziploc bags and Tupperware to store left overs.
The lock on the bottom sliding glass door was a little loose, but the security bar held it in place enough to feel safe.
Overall the house was nice for a week-long stay. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were soft and clean and the house was more than accommodating for me and my family. The resort is fabulous! I would highly recommend staying at Regal Palms. And for the price, I can certainly recommend staying at this townhouse.
My family and I don't know how to Thank Steven and his family enough for allowing us to share their beautiful home for our vacation. Words can't express, but this was our best family vacation ever. The home was well kept and you can tell that love went into it. There were days when we just stayed and enjoyed the Regal Palm facility. I will definitely stay at this rental home again!
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying in the Disney Delight Townhome at the Regal Plams Resort. This unit was very clean and had a warm and inviting feeling to it. The rental process for this unit was very easy and the owner was very helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend this unit if you plan on an extended stay in the Disney/Orlando area.
