The perfect getaway to enjoy peace and quiet that is pristine and safe. Enjoy beautiful sunrises & clear blue waters from our penthouse. Since this unit is the top floor, you take the spiral staircase from our balcony to the private rooftop that is over 1000 square feet. Villas del Faro, in Maunabo, Puerto Rico is located just one hour from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in Isla Verde. Maunabo is an old fashioned town on the south east side of the island facing the Caribbean Sea.
The rental unit is in a gated, private & secure location. You will enjoy continuous gentle breezes in this spacious (1209 sq ft) unit with 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies, 2 baths & 2 private parking spots. Our unit has the penthouse to double your views. New construction, decorated and furnished for your comfort.
The development is across the street from a mile long beach & within a 5 minute drive from other beaches. You will swim in clear Caribbean water & enjoy water activities.
All bedrooms, as well as the living area, have views of the ocean & of a 1892 Spanish lighthouse. The community has 2 pools, jacuzzi, tennis court & a half basketball court. Direct TV. NEW UPDATED HI-SPEED WIFI
I purchased this particular townhouse in this unit because it is the best view in the entire complex. Since it is a penthouse you also have over 1000 square feet of private rooftop to sunbathe or watch the stars. I hope to retire here someday. It is beautiful, accessible and the people are wonderful.
Christopher Roberts purchased this townhome in 2006
You simply can not find a more beautiful place for the money. Paradise!
Have fresh red snapper and 4 Medalla beers hanging off a cliff over the ocean for less than $25. Can't beat that.
Air Conditioning!!!! Absolutely needed in Puerto Rico in the Summer months. We have it!
I was very surprised at the amazing views from the rooftop and every room in this condo. All you see is mountains and ocean. The complex is extremely well taken care of and very clean.
We absolutely loved this Penthouse Condo. The views are breathtaking. It takes a little over an hour to get to this location from the San Juan airport. We rented a car, used our Garmin GPS and it brought us right to the location. It is a little over an hour away from the rainforest and about an hour away ferry to take you to Vieques or Culebra Islands. It is better to drive your car to the beach entrance due to the condo being up on a hill and a heck of a hike should you want to walk it. Chris is great to work with and very responsive. He has a lot of stuff in his condo that makes the stay nice. There is a cooler with wheels, some boogie boards, and other kid items that are available to use. The house is fully stocked with a washer and dryer, and all the cooking utensils you should need. There is a charcoal bbq grill on the roof. It is a small grill but good enough to cook for 6 people. There are a couple of local places to go that are good to eat at and there is a convience store about 5 minutes away that has a few necessities that you may forget along the way. I would suggest stopping on the way from San Juan at a Sams Club to pick up your food in bulk as it wil be the cheapest and most convienent for you. Overall, this was one of the best vacations that I have ever had. It was nice and calm the condo complex isn't crazy busy and the ocean breeze is perfect on those hot days. If you are choosing to get away from the crazy hustle and bussle of life, a beach that has few people, this is the place to be. If you want to be on top of people and have no privacy, stay on the north side of the island by San Juan. I would definetly stay here again with out a doubt.
This is a great apartment for family or friends. There is a large open rooftop with great views of the ocean and countryside. The complex is very quiet, well maintained, and private. It's a short walk to the beach which has a beautiful walking trail. Chris was very friendly and easy to get in contact with. The apartment is well stocked and comfortable. San Juan is only an hours drive. The only negative was not picking up any wifi signal, but other than that we really enjoyed this place. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to get away from it all. The views are really amazing!
Really enjoyed our stay with my family of 5.The facilities were great, beautiful ocean views the penthouse is well taken care off. Our kids loved the pool.Maunabo is a real peacefull.Chris the owner is great to work with good communication.Hopefully we will return I highly recommend the villa.
This is a very poorly maintained small apartment with rusty stairs to a roof terras. The apartment was filled with clothes and stuff from other people.(also used razor blades in the bathroom!) The refridgerator was packed with openend food Air conditioning in the living room was not working. No airco in the third bedroom. No sea view in the third bedroom. This is not ocean front!!
Very dangerous waters to swim
There is NO INTERNET False advertisement
Does not even deserve the one star
Do I need to say more? The list goes on.
This is a great place to rest. Stayed for a weekend and loved the tranquility of this place. The view from the terrace and the master bedroom are spectacular. The place was clean and organized. Will stay again anytime.. Thanks Robert.

The complex where the apartment is located offers several opportunities for entertainment. In addition to the two pools, there is a tennis court and a half basketball court, plus a playground and a kiddie pool for the younger ones. Also, there is a mile long beach, right across the street from the complex
The beaches in Maunabo are among the most pristine in the Island. In addition to the Punta Tuna beach, closest to the complex, there are two more excellent beaches in Maunabo, great for sunbathing, swimming, beachcoming, pier fishing and snorkeling. Within a 20 minute drive, going either north or south, there are several other beaches, plus opportunities for deepsea fishing, sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing. The area around Maunabo is excellent for ecotourism, scenic drives, hiking, biking and birdwatching.
No visit to Puerto Rico is complete without a tour of Old San Juan, a walled Spanish city dating to the 1500’s and still a vibrant living and working space, or to El Yunque Rainforest, the only forest of its kind within the US Park Service system. Both are within an hour’s drive from the unit.
There are several restaurants in Maunabo, most serving good, fresh, simple fare. Further afield are numerous restaurants which are weekend destinations for the San Juan crowd. There is a binder in the apartment with information about places to eat.
