Welcome to 842 Lake St., Unit 12, in Saugatuck! Available April to November. This charming condo has recently been redecorated and is fresh and clean waiting for you! Our professional cleaning crew washes everything on the beds between each guest. (from sheets to duvet cover and pillow shams). Be one of the first to enjoy the new furnishings and relaxing, airy, warm feel of this two bedroom, one bath condo.
This condo is perfect for a family of four or 2 couples (actually we love it just for the two us!) It’s open concept is great for entertaining while enjoying the water view. The condo has a “master” bedroom with a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has a full bed. Both bedrooms have dressers so you can unpack your clothes and get comfy and don’t have to paw through your suitcase. There is a large closet in the dining room and master bedroom for stowing suitcases or hanging clothes, etc.
The open living room, dining room, and kitchen have views of Lake Kalamazoo. You will see the best sunsets in Saugatuck sitting outside on the patio furniture. Enjoy the best view of the 4thof July fireworks right from the condo! There is cable tv in the comfortable living room where you can put your feet up after a day of shopping, boating, walking, bike riding, or whatever. Each bedroom has its own ceiling fan and the living room has two paddle fans. All windows open for a good cross breeze.
If you are familiar with Saugatuck, you know that parking is at a premium. You are in luck; this condo comes with 2 parking spots on the premises!
The full sized kitchen has a ceramic top stove (plus oven), refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, toaster, and blender, dishes, glassware, silverware. You may not need all of those kitchen appliances as there are many restaurants to choose from in both Saugatuck and Douglas, however, the view is so beautiful from this condo that you may choose to cook in or grill out and enjoy your meal outside on the landscaped grounds.
We think you will really enjoy staying at our vacation rental. Saugatuck and Douglas are so much fun and there is always something going on day or night. You can enjoy watching antique cars go by, plus walkers, and bicyclists. Located in the historic district, we are walking distance to both Douglas and Saugatuck (right next to Twin Gables), about 2 miles to Oval Beach and 1 mile to Mt. Baldhead! We’ve got it all! We invite you to spend a long weekend or a week at our little gem in Saugatuck, Michigan!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will do all we can to make your stay at our place comfortable.
We are a retired school teacher and nurse. We love visiting Michigan and spending time with our children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
We have been traveling to the Saugatuck area for many years. We love the area and feel blessed to have found this wonderful condo. We love being able to see the water from inside our living room and kitchen. We also enjoy stepping outside our door and grilling out and spending time in the garden-like setting. We frequently walk the short distance to the many shops and restaurants and parks of Saugatuck and Douglas and stroll on the boardwalk of Lake Kalamazoo. There is so much to do and see! We will never tire of spending time here!
We had a wonderful stay and this cozy place was perfect for us. . It was very comfortable and clean. The location was very good!!! We will be back!!!
Rooms were clean and well supplied with kitchen items.
Would be helpful to have several current menu from local spots.
Don't know if bed rooms will accommodate queen size, beds were a little small for two but were comfortable.
Nice outside seating area, was quiet for sleeping.
I spent three nights on my own and thoroughly enjoyed this condo. It has a nice living/dining/kitchen space. The main bed is decent size, second bedroom is tiny, no closet. There is adequate closet space in the dining room and a little space in the master. The view of the water is nice, it looked like a new development is being built across the street, so I hope they don't lose the view. The weather was lovely, especially at night with the windows open. This condo is in a great location, walking distance to both Saugatuck and Douglas. I went to Shaka Surf, just across the bay, and rented a kayak one day and stand up paddle board the next. I would definitely rent this condo again.
Truly disappointing! Our "view" from the condo was obscured by 2 cranes-----as they were starting foundation work on property across the ROAD from our "sitting" area. The ROAD was certainly a BUSY ONE------with vehicles, bicycles, joggers and walkers. The "windows WITH The VIEW" are very near the sidewalk AND road! Obviously, whatever structure "develops" at the "crane site" WILL INDEED ELIMINATE ANY "View" of Lake Kalamazoo. Maybe, due to "reconfigured" parking spaces, we found ourselves walking the entire length of this "formerly a motel" "L" shaped building to access our condo. Also, WE would NOT consider our location "just a short walk to shops and restaurants". We were inclined to drive-----but then became frustrated at the LIMITED, on the street, parking available in Saugatuck. Because we had booked an entire week's stay, we packed full size suitcases--------but the bedrooms were SO SMALL that we had to "improvise" WHERE we could locate our bags to open them daily. We also opted to "wash dishes and pans" BEFORE we even used them-------as they appeared greasy-grimy. We MADE our trip QUITE ENJOYABLE------as beautiful weather allowed us to be outdoors and about---------from morning 'til NEARLY DARK!! Saugatuck IS A GORGEOUS AREA; with SO MUCH to see/do.
We were attending a farm dinner on Sunday and had a hard time finding an available hotel for 2 nights. Most condo or house rentals require 3 nights but then came across Mark and Teresa's place while searching online. What a geat find! Perfect location to walk downtown Saugatuck and 20 minute drive to our dinner. The condo is very clean, love the wood floors throughout. Comfortable beds and living area. Would definitely rent again next time in Saugatuck.
Be sure to have dinner and drinks at Phil's. Sit at the bar, the bartenders are fantastic. For breakfast Ina Reds, food takes awhile to arrive but worth the wait. We met locals everywhere we went, who are friendly and full of great information. They enjoy having visitors to their quaint town so take advantage of strolling the streets and visiting the shops.
I have stayed in several beach towns along Lake Michicgan and Saugatuck is now my favorite!
The unit was clean and spacious. We enjoyed morning walks to the water to get some exercise and find some coffee. On Friday there was a farmer's market set up and we sampled some of the delicious local pies and breads. The weather was probably warmer than usual but the AC and fans kept the space well-cooled. The only small negative was there was no toilet paper in the unit-perhaps we were to provide and we overlooked it but we found a store very near by and so averted disaster.
I would also like to mention the great service we receives at IHLE's automotive shop. We had a tire that was losing air and I took the car there and was in and out with a plugged tire in less than 20 minutes-the folks there were fast and friendly.
