This home worked out great for a large multi-generation family vacation. It is well appointed making it easy to prepare meals and beverages. The views are gorgeous and visible from almost every room! Sunrise and sunset were both stunning! The large decks allow for large gatherings or quiet times. The bedrooms are quite spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed making s'mores in the fire pit several nights. The location is convenient for many activities including the public beach. There are many restaurants and shops within a very short drive.
We stayed here in July of 2016 with our extended family, ranging in age from 2 years to 76 years old. The house is in the perfect location for sightseeing and relaxing. You're a short drive from downtown/touristy Plymouth with its shops and the Mayflower II. Plimouth Plantation is right around the corner. Go a little bit west and you have modern shopping/conveniences available. There are tons of great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Boston is about an hour and a half away with traffic.
The house itself is beautiful and there was more than enough room and space to spread out on one of the several levels. For groups with little ones or people with limited mobility, this may be a concern because there are a lot of stairs - but this is the only possible drawback to the house. The upstairs bedrooms are particularly well-appointed. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes. There is also a gas grill on the deck. The house has cable and decent speed internet.
The best parts of this house are the water views out of every window and the deck in the back. We spent each evening by the fire pit making s'mores.
Much of the day was spent on the deck just gazing at the water and reading.
This is the ideal home base for a large gathering in terms of location, amenities, and unparalleled water views.
