Very nice place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The VRBO was very well appointed you have everything you could ever need. It was very clean and easy to get in and out to see the various tourist spots. I would recommend this one and plan on staying here again.

Very safe and spacious place.

  • 5 of 5

We had no problems finding this great place. This was our first stop and I wish we could have stayed longer. Great place for two people. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, steps away from the pool and the iguanas that visited us everyday. Convenient location to Quepos and mt Antonio area and state park. Very fun to see the difference of these 2 areas. Great restaurants in the Antonio area. Many overlook the canopy of the jungle and the ocean. We had fun in quepos as well and found the farmers market Barry recommend. The ocean is steps away from the city with a great sidewalk zone. Would love to come back and explore more of this area and spend more time in the State park.

Amazing family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The hosts are very welcoming & will help you with whatever you need. The property is Amazing and had everything we hoped for & needed. We had iguanas hanging out with us by the pool everyday. We were able to see multiple types of monkeys, a sloth & her baby & so much more right from the patio & driveway. it was an amazing experience for my husband, two sons (11 & 14 yrs old), & myself. I would return here in a heartbeat if I could.

Great family stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family of four (two kids ages 5 and 7) loved our stay at Villa Vista Verde in Manuel Antonio. Barry is a dynamite host and went above and beyond - he gave us great directions on how to get to his place from bus in San Jose, picked us up at the bus stop, and took us multiple times to the grocery store as well as back to the bus station for the next leg of our trip SUPER early in the morning! He was willing to help with any tours or treks as well. The place itself is really nice - we most enjoyed walking outside to our own private pool in the rainforest, complete with sunbathing iguanas and titi monkeys in the afternoon (seriously - this was so very very very cool). The home was more than large enough for us four, though the futon bed might be small for two larger adults or kids. Manuel Antonio is wonderful, and we never felt like we needed a car there, as the house is a 5-10 minute walk from the collectivo/city bus (not sure what they're called there) stop, and this will take you anywhere you'd want to go, from the beach/National Park to Quepos, which is a cool little town, too. We will definitely be back!!!!

So Nice!!

  • 5 of 5

The house is a great size with a pool just steps from the front door. Barry and Annie were so nice and helpful, and were right upstairs in case we needed anything at all or had any questions. The washer and dryer were awesome to have. We will stay here again for sure!!

Very good house, clean, and nearby

  • 4 of 5

We (family) stayed with teenagers boys. Stay was very good.

The owners Annie and Barry are very friendly and will explain everything you need to know about the place and things to do. They gave a drop us to the bus for the airport and to buy antihistamine medicine. Quepos town is close by but not walkable - taxi is $4 from house.

We didn't rent a car we used the public bus and taxi to go to beach and restaurants. Public bus is 5 min walk to the stop.

Taxi is $10 to go to Manual Antonio national park. If you are planning to go to many of the eateries and many local beaches then locally renting a car is convenient as the bus does not stop everywhere and frequency is approx 30 min.

We didn't cook, we stayed for 3 nights.

Facility wise the house has everything incl washer/dryer and cooking utensils.

Kids used the pool there's outdoor shower useful coming from a beach.

We enjoyed the stay very much - no complaints at all.
