good basic get-a-way spot
the community has nice facilities, Cranberry Lake for swimming, tennis courts, fields to play in. A friendly, welcoming office (thanks, Brenda). We didn't miss the cable, but wi-fi at the house is needed (some in our group needed it for work, beyond the good cell phone signal). The clubhouse wi-fi was adequate. All in all, we had a wonderful time there!
Plenty of room
Even though we were hunkered down as Hurricane Harvey went by the house, with it's many levels, gave us lots of room to spread out.
House was okay lake was great
We stayed with a few young kids and the house was a little challenging, 3 levels, third level was a loft with a open railing and no yard or outdoor space other then the deck. The beds seemed newer, no water pressure. The lake was great, 2 minute drive, basically had it to ourselves, floating dock, refreshing water, sandy beach, bathrooms, canoe. You can not bring your dog to the beach, so it was kind of sad because we looked for a pet friendly place but we had to leave her alone anyway.
Terrific stay in this spacious cottage
This cottage was roomy and very well equipped for our group of eight. It was clean and well-maintained, and had really all the comforts we were hoping for and more! Carmen was very responsive and thorough in all of her communications and made us feel very welcome. The lakes (Cranberry Pond and Otter Pond) and beaches are immaculately clean and made for super boating, kayaking and fishing. Disappointing factors were the very steep roads (too steep for my kids to bike on) and lack of proximity to the lakes/ beaches-- we had to drive to them because the walk was too far to do while carrying beach chairs, oars, coolers, etc. Also, renters should be cautioned that you cannot bring your own boats so be sure that the ones Carmen has (a kayak and canoe in our case) are available and meet the needs of your party. The Wildwood community is quiet and safe, and definitely a terrific place to unwind and find peace and quiet.
Lots of space for the price! Hot water and cool air availability could be better!
House was very warm when we arrived. We quickly located a fan and window air conditioning unit for the upstairs. However, the bedroom we placed the air conditioner in was very cold in order to make the other upstairs rooms comfortable. We had to strategically plan our showers in order for the hot water to last. We still had a great stay!
Thank you for your feedback. It is usually cool in the woods, but the cooling devices being off while the house is empty, may make it too hot on arrival. I will look into adding more cooling devices to speed up the cooling, once someone is inside the house.
My water boiler is new and it's a large size, but being that there are so many bathrooms in the house, perhaps it is not jeeping up with a big simultaneous demand. I will have it rechecked and adjusted if necessary.
I am glad that you had a good stay and will try to address your concerns.
Relaxing time at the lake

House was great and location was convient to get to the water.
Will certainly be looking to stay here next year.
