Davis Brothers Reunion
Had a great time at the Cajun Lodge! We had planned on doing area events but after touring the property decided to stay and enjoy all the things to see and do on this place. The owner is a super sweet person! Very helpful in pointing out special features of this property! We are hoping to make this a yearly event!
It was a blessing to have this wonderful family here! Thank you!
Spring family get together
We had a wonderful time. The lake lodge was close to family in Burns as well as Dickinson and Nashville. The weather was very Spring like and allowed us to explore the beautiful property. Paula was a gracious host. Hope to visit again soon
Thank you, Liz! We loved having your family and we hope you will all come back real soon! Paula, Cajun Lake Lodge
The perfect place for our wedding party!
This was the perfect place to accommodate our wedding party. We enjoyed the fire pit, playing pool, and the beautiful views while drinking coffee in the mornings! I highly recommend it!
Great for relaxing and fishing
We had a group of 8, 4 being children, Pool table was great to have. Video game was not working. Plenty of room outside too, boys loved to fish in the ponds. Personally I would not swim in the large pond as there was a lot of green muck. I think may be "south thing". Downstairs was a nice area for someone to needed to escape or workout. Air conditioners were nice and cold, perfect being we stayed in the heart of the summer. Being it was an old farmhouse, the kitchen was small for a large group of people. TV'S downstairs but none in bedrooms upstairs. Large screen in theatre room was tough to navigate. Couldn't get DVDs to play. 45 minutes from Downtown Nashville. Overall nice experience, we all enjoyed our stay. Paula was very helpful.
Thank you so much for your review! We loved having you! In the heat of the summer, we "fight" the algae in our ponds; we even stock the lakes with talapia every year, who love to eat the algae. We can then fish for them in the fall, which is great fun! When you were here, the algae had been treated and was dying but was still at the surface....all lakes are crystal clear now! Our eagles help us fish them out! And the video game has been repaired and is waiting for you to come back. We appreciate the "heads up" on the large screen TV; we now have a new set of instructions. Until next time.....
What a great view to the pond. Entire group enjoyed stay. Kitchen well stocked as we cooked and fed about 12 people each day.
So glad y'all had a good time! Please come back soon!
Purple Pal Retreat
This is our 5th consecutive year to hold our annual retreat here, and we can't imagine going anywhere else. Paula Eleazer is a gracious and hospitable host, and the converted farmhouse is welcoming and comfortable. We feel completely at home while there. We are a group of old high school friends who cherish this time together and Cajun Lake Lodge is the perfect setting. We enjoy the scenery, the walking trail, and everything about this property. I would recommend it without reservation to anyone seeking a relaxing weekend or more.
Fishing, fishing, fishing! Swimming and canoeing in the lake!
Jones Creek is a lazy mountain stream for just sitting in the cool, shaded water, or walking down the creek bed....right on the property!
Two golf courses within one mile in either direction.
Near downtown Dickson with shopping and interesting sites such as the Clement Railroad Museum, and great restaurants.
Forty minutes from Nashville
