3rd time's just as nice!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for letting us stay at your home again! This was our third time staying here, and we enjoyed it just as much as the previous times. The upgrades were very nice -- we spent a lot of time in the newly renovated sun room. Everything was clean and accommodating. No complaints!

The only thing we were bummed about? The stairs from the dock down to the river are no longer there. It would be nice if there was an easier, safer way down and if there were a paved area to sit below the deck. Still, we love hanging out out there!

We're looking forward to our next visit. We always have a great time here, even though we've had ZERO luck with the fish :).

Very comfortable in a relaxing setting. Enjoyed morning coffee over looking the river.

  • 4 of 5

House is clean and comfortable. Worked well for 5 adults and 3 children. Had all we needed for a long weekend while visiting family. Had an issue with getting into the house the last night (deadbolt wouldn't unlock). Owners were very responsive and the issue was resolved quickly. We would stay again.

Great river getaway

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great. The location on the river is fantastic. Across the river is a huge forest preserve so it feels very removed. Down the street from a number of great outdoor areas and state parks. Even in the cooler early spring weather we enjoyed it. The house itself was clean and well maintained. Went to the John Deere historic site in Grand Detour which was one of the cooler attractions we've been to in a while. It was very well done. Great long weekend.

relaxing and refreshing!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay on the Rock River! The spacious deck and side yard with firepit was the perfect place to enjoy the river. When it got too chilly, we could use the sunroom porch with equally stunning views. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with all the kitchen amenities you might need. We enjoyed grilling and playing corn hole with the equipment from the shed. Our 2 year old daughter enjoyed throwing rocks and sticks in the river from the deck. The neighborhood was quiet, perfect for morning fall walks. Just 5/10 minutes to town where we could get groceries. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a low key, relaxing location.
