Escape to the Laurel Mountains to enjoy one of your favorite four seasons. The MILL RUN MANOR is surrounded by forest, natural streams and wild life. You can hike 1/4 of a mile from the manor to a beautiful waterfall (Indian Creek Stream) where one can fish, kayak, or just enjoy the breathtaking view of one of the best kept secrets in the area.
The Mill Run Manor is right in the middle of all of the activities in the area. It is minutes away from Ohiopyle and Seven Springs Mountan Resort.
My father built this home when I was young. I total renovated it 5 years ago and made it mostly rustic but kept some of the original characteristics. The main floor ceilings were plastered when the house was built by a one man expert that can't be found today. My wife and I flag stoned the patio and created a very relaxing firepit area which we love to enjoy when it is not being rented. We love to hike through the woods adjacent to the house about 1/2 mile to the beautiful hand made waterfall. Sitting on the patio you can see the beautiful mountains and the neighbors farm with cows.
This place is truly your home away from home. It is fully equipped with everything you would need...all linen, washer and dryer, iron, all appliances, dishes, tv' s in all rooms, fire places, beautiful view from the sun room, juke box, fuseball table, fire pit, a short walk through the woods to see an amazing waterfall.
The Mill Run Manor was exactly what I was looking for when planning a White Water Rafting adventure with the guys. There were 7 of us and everyone slept very comfortably. We grilled out for dinner, sat by a fire at night, and enjoyed the music on the jukebox. The owner of the property provided our stay with everything we needed and was always accessible if I ever needed to contact him. Every person in my party commented on how nice the place was and are already planning a stay here for our next WWR trip. Thank you Mr. Brooks! I highly recommend this property and will be back!
The only reason I would consider giving this place less than 5stars is to stop other people from renting it so there are more available weekends for me and my buddies. But that would be unkind. So i didn't. This place is fantastic.
The Manor was a great place to stay. My friends and I were looking for a place that's secluded, had a grill, and an area to build a fire. This place fit that to a T.
My group and I have stayed here on a couple occasions. We have had a great experience every time.
The house is very nice inside with renovated bathroom and kitchen, and we loved the rec area downstairs! The walk to the waterfall was just the right length to give the kids some exercise and it was beautiful to see the sunset over the river.
Renters should beware of driving all the way down the driveway when it's covered in snow - we had some trouble getting our car back up the hill. Thankfully the kind neighbor helped us out!
The Home was awesome! Looks exactly like the pictures posted, and CLEAN!! That is always a big worry of mine when renting from places. There were 3 babies with us on our trip and I felt very comfortable letting them play on the floors :) Our group had an awesome time and I would recommend this home to other renters!
