Stephen was wonderful to work with. Family all met for a short Thanksgiving weekend. We could only imagine how lovely this property would be in the Summer. Small beach area with very shallow water would be great for little ones. The fact that you have your own boat ramp and access to a boat rental .... nice amenity. Perfect area to put in kayaks. Cooked a Thanksgiving dinner and was able to socialize with everyone watching football Thanksgiving day. House has very nice open layout on 1st floor. Will be checking into summer availability.
This house is great. It had everything our family needed and more. There was something for everyone. It had lots of room for our family, with plenty to do. From being out on the water to relaxing on the deck or patio. You had your choice, from fishing to kayaking, wake boarding or jet skiing, roasting marshmallows in the evenings or playing board games and horse shoe. There just was no shortage of things to do. The owner also had several places on the property to relax and just take in the peace and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with just about everything you would need for the week, except for the groceries, of course. It was a wonderful vacation from beginning to end! Thank you Steve!!
We chose this place because of the four bathrooms (for the four women in our party). We came to the area because we were going to attend a family reunion on the lake about two miles or so from this property over the weekend. The location was therefore superb for us and we knew we could get there quickly with our three cars.
The main floor gave all of us room to do our own thing whenever we were "home" during our stay. We ate some meals here and found plenty of pots and pans for cooking and baking.
We weren't able to try out the "toys" because we were being tourists or at the reunion, but we found quite a few that we could have used. The younger ones enjoyed the games while the older ones watched the other television.
Our family picked up some of us down at the dock which was convenient so we didn't all have to go over at once.
The biggest down side was that the painter was there throughout our stay. He was to have been finished by the time we arrived but because of the rain he was behind in his work. We tolerated him as best we could. The rest of you who choose this place will enjoy a newly painted house on the outside and plenty of room on the inside.
This was our first time renting on Lake Anna and it couldn't have been better. The house provided everything we needed for a large family with plenty of space and wonderful waterfront access. We took advantage of renting the boat as well and it was the highlight of the week. It was perfect for just cruising the lake, tubing or even fishing. Our family had a great time and we are hoping to get back again this fall.
My wife and I capped off a long stressful work year with celebrating here with friends. We brought our dogs and they loved the land. The host was very accommodating and easy to deal with. If there happens to be an available weekend, we would live to go again.
My wife and I enjoyed the relaxation and freedom of the property. We loved the outdoors and kayaking experience. Great space for friends and family! The owner was very flexible with us!
