This new 4,000 sq. ft. , beautiful log home sleeps 21 people. The bedrooms are very large with most walk-in, large closets. It has all of the amenities of a year-round home, from cable TV, lightning-fast internet, Wi-Fi, desktop computer in the family room, to more than 100 various DVD movies, computer games, board games, books, etc. This home has it all! Each bathroom is equipped with anything that you may have forgotten to pack.
It is a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend, week or month. It has a very private wooded lot, with appealing natural light inside. There are plenty of activities to enjoy year-round. It is just a short walk from ski-in, ski-out. Shuttle from Boyne skiing to home on weekends. Spring, summer and fall, there is an asphalt bike path bordering the backyard with an abundance of highly-respectable golf courses nearby.
Sitting on the back deck and grilling is one of the many relaxing ways to enjoy yourself for your get-away stay. Also, take advantage of the fire pit with surrounding colorful Adironback chairs.
No smoking/no pets.
My family of 18 stayed at this property and let me tell you it was A GREAT EXPERIENCE! When we arrived the home was ready. It was clean and shiny! I have not one complaint - NOT ONE! It had everything we needed for the weekend except food. Enough linen and towels, extra beds, appliances were all good. The children were super excited to find bicycles in the garage! The location was PERFECT! Out of the hustle and bustle of the city for the weekend. I HIGHLY recommend this property. Carol the owner was a dear to work with. She was available to help and answer any and all questions (she responded promptly which you don't find often while conducting business). I can't say enough about this property and the overall experience. My husband is already talking about renting with his family! I'm so lucky - I'll get to go both times... (LOL). We're already talking about next year! YAY!
p.s. The price for this rental was excellent too!
Rented this home with 14 other friends for a long weekend. It was a fantastic experience. The owner was extremely responsive throughout the whole experience...was even able to help us order a ufc fight when they were out of the country. Kitchen had everything we needed for nightly dinner. Wonderful quiet backyard with bonfire! Overall would recommend to anyone going to boyne!
We recently held a weekend couples retreat at the property. 7 couples attended. The home is ideally suited for 6 couples, but the 7th bedroom worked well enough for us - it's just a bit unconventional. We had a great time in a lovely location. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. There is a nice sized kitchen for preparing meals, lots of game/fun options for a family retreat, and a nice deck off the back of the home. We were very pleased!
The house is very nice and had plenty of beds and space for our group of 16 skiers. The kids loved the basement game room area.
It's a long drive to get around the mountain, but for skiing there was access to the slopes at the Kitz Cabin just down the road. A nice kitchen and pantry made cooking our own meals possible. Great for people who want privacy and have their own skis.
Our weekend was an extreme disappointment. The property location is NOT "a short walk" to ski in/ ski out. The actual distance to the ski hill is about a 1/4 mile walk (to Kitz), and uphill both ways (really!). The house is very dirty, with mouse traps scattered through-out the kitchen pantry, we had to wash most of the kitchen items and the garage is full of construction debris, old furniture and piles of kitchen garbage. This house is NOT a 7 BR house, it's 6 BR that sleeps a total of 16 in beds (Not 24 as advertised). There is NOT free access to the 'clock tower' pool. Lastly, it's about a 15 minute drive to the Boyne Village. Very disappointing experience with a very unresponsive owner.
Located in a beautiful wooded area. Owner is friendly and was responding late in the night as well. I recommend this place. Will definitely consider for my future vacation plans.
