I very dissatisfied with my stay at the Sedona Summit! When Jim Gioiosa responded back to me it was like receiving a cookie cutter email, a computer generated response. There was no personalization in it.
Upon arriving to the Sedona Summit I was told by the front desk that there was a $12 resort fee. I felt duped! I asked Jim specifically what all of the fees, taxes, any other charges and the total for my 7 night stay would be. He said nothing about the resort fee. It wasn't until after I booked with Sedona Summit (I had to book with the resort directly because Jim did not call me back) that I was told of the fee.
When I got to my room immediately I noticed that there was a mold smell in my room. Which I have dealt with for my entire stay. There were also cleaning people who were unbearably loud with their communication with each other. So much so that their conversations and yelling I could hear into my room.
It is not a resort! It is more like an apartment complex, and it is very busy. Restaurants and even coffee shops are 3 miles away, and there is nothing on site for food. The front desk management may refund the $12 per night, but I seriously doubt it from the response that I got from the front desk. I also had to complain 4 different times just to get my needs met during my stay. I will never stay here again.
My hope is that anyone who is looking at this VRBO or any other get all of the details in writing, and do research on the place that you are staying. I also hope that corporations and even owners of VRBO's show more integrity and genuine humanness!
We were very impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail. The listing was just as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the facilities/amenities (pool, playground etc...). There was lots to do in regards to shopping, restaurants, and activities. A great time!
We traveled with another couple and their two year old, we had a blast! The hotel was perfect and the 2bdrm/lock off was amazing. Gave each couple their privacy but also allowed everyone to hang out. The pool and kids playground was awesome. Recommended for everyone!
I booked as a resort and was very disappointed. I had to drive to do everything, there are no restaurants, shops, bar or any other amenities except pools and hot tubs. It is 3 miles outside of town so we had to drive for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Once you get into the property the only thing to do is go to a pool, front desk not helpful on sites to see either. Just did not come up to the level of a Resort, it is a time share complex, few rooms have views of the mountains, mine was a view of the parking lot and I was told only 4 units like the one I rented had views??? Property is very large and crowded.
We came to Sedona for a weekend getaway and to do some hiking. Our room at Sedona Summit was incredible. We enjoyed making our own romantic dinner in the full size kitchen, had a fire place in the spacious living room and balcony upstairs for enjoying morning coffee. Cannot wait to stay here again.
Los Abrigados resort is a little dated, but the room was really spacious, and we loved the large balcony. It was situated in the heart of Sedona, right next to a shopping area which had restaurants, antiques stores, and art galleries. There was also a Spoke and Wheel restaurant/bar attached to the resort where we enjoyed some great food and drinks (and they have a free pool table). It was a great stay!
