Ocean block condo (walk up the street to the ocean and walking boardwalk) one bedroom with twin beds and the living room has a pullout couch. We rent all year long, weekly, weekends long and short and during the week in the off season. There is NO SMOKING in the unit or on the complex and also there are NO PETS allowed. WIRELESS INTERNET, expanded cable TV, two,flat screen TV's , AC-heat etc - within walking distance are various places for you to eat and a short drive away are amusement parks - during the Summer season we rent a minimum of a week, TWO BEACH BADGES INCLUDED .

Owner's Response: They were so happy with our low price and great location. We were happy they chose us to rent! Perfect tenants. We hope they return soon. They said 99.00 was well worth it! Plus we added some extras to make their stay special. They were here for a family wedding. Would like to come back in the warmer weather.

Everything we needed

We rented this condo for a few nights to visit friends in the area. The owners were very nice and helpful. Joe even helped us take everything upstairs (and we had a lot since we were traveling with 1 year old twins!) Like the pictures show, the condo is a little small, but it was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and available on both email and phone (we didn't run into any problems but I am sure if we had, they would have been in easy reach and provided prompt attention). It was a great location, just a quick walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. I would recommend this property to a friend.

Spotless and was exactly as in the photos

This condo was spotless and the owners were delightful! It was exactly like the photos. We were so happy to find such a steal to stay in while helping family repair their Sandy destroyed home. For less than the price of a single hotel room, we also had a sitting area and kitchenette. We absolutely recommend this property, and encourage others to support the Jersey shore.

We have owned and rented this condominium for over twelve years and during that time we have always rented out the entire summer season and a good portion of the other seasons. Renters beware!!

We stayed in this condo for a week and were okay with the overall condition of the rental due to the price being very reasonable. It was exactly what you would expect for the price we paid. However things unfortunately took a turn for the worst. On the night before Thanksgiving the gas oven would not turn off, and even set off the fire alarm from how hot the apartment became. When we called Joe he asked my husband to pull the VERY hot stove from the wall and turn off the gas, which my husband tried to to but needed proper tools. Joe lives two hours away, but had a friend come over and shut it off. He replaced the stove two days later with a new one, but it did prevent us from helping cook for Thanksgiving. Granted this was beyond his control but we were very kind about it and gave them little trouble, even tried to help! Then as we were checking out I called and spoke to Diane and asked what we needed to do for checkout as there was NO instructions on what to do, and I told her we had taken out the trash, taken the linens off the beds, done the dishes, and were going to turn down the heat and leave the keys on the table. I asked if there was anything else we needed to do and they said no. I assumed that a professional cleaner would be coming in behind us to ensure that the place was clean for the next tenants but I was wrong! Joe informed us he was keeping our deposit because the place was "a disaster." Granted, my husband did leave a bowl of oatmeal in the microwave that I missed, the linens were not washed, there was a wet towel left on the door, and the floor did have quite a bit of crumbs on it, but it was far from "a disaster." When we confronted Joe about it and told him we assumed a cleaning service would be coming, since that is LAW in FL, he told me that was because FL people are dirty. Seriously?!?! I found it pretty gross that he doesn't hire someone to clen the place and just leaves it to the tenants. It is nowhere in the contract that you must deep clean the place before you leave. If I was aware I either would have stayed somewhere different or made sure the place was spotless when we left. And after all that happened with the stove I would have expected them to go above and beyond to please us, not treat us with such unkindness. Just beware if you stay here that they dont clean before you come and expect you to when you leave. Also, Joe isn't a kind person to deal with should you have difficulties. List of things to bring is also incomplete.

Owner's Response: During the off season as was the case we only charge $50 a night and this does not include a cleaning service. The condo is cleaned by us prior and after the rental. The contract states the renter is too leave the condo in the same condition or part or all of the security deposit would be kept by us. In the 12 years we have owned and rented our condo we have only kept a portion of the security deposit one othe time. This renter did leave the condo a mess and the security was kept.Even if someone states if the security is kept,that they would write a bad review, we still would keep the security as was done and said in this case. While a renter is cooking a frozen pizza in our oven and the oven malfunctions the smoke detector should go off as it did. I had the gas shut off by a friend in 10 minutes. This was the night before Thanksgiving and I was not able to get a new stove installed until 11 AM on Friday which was the case. No mention was ever made as to Thanksgiving. They were advised of the new installed stove and were happy. I had to advise the installers that the mess was not mine but done by a renter in the condo. There were no appliance stores open on Thanksgiing Day, Friday was the first day that they were open. We list everything that is included in the condo, we are not mind readers and do not pretend to have everything that a renter may need or want. Our condo is alawys in pristine condition for our renters, as we would like them to come and stay again! We do expect them to leave it in the same condition as when they arrived, as also stated in our contract.

Refundable damage deposit $100

contact owner for rates - Summer we rent for a minimum of a week or longer
we rent all year long: off season we rent weekends (long and short),during the week or weekly or even longer - the motels in Lavallette all close down at some point during the Fall, until the next Summer season, but we stay open all year long for you!

Security deposit and one third of rent is due at the signing of the contract for renters during the Summer season, during the off season security deposit and full rent is due at the signing of the contract - security deposit returned upon inspection and satisfaction of the property by the owner, returned in one day
