There is nothing that can top this vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

If there were any faults to find in this gorgeous vacation spot, we don't know of any. This is perhaps the best rental you could find anywhere. It's clean, well-appointed, perfectly located, and provides the most tranquility you could find. First, location. It's situated at the end of a quiet dirt road on the east shore of Lake Groton. Sunsets are gorgeous, and because of its unique construction, a good deal of the structure is suspended over water. There is a shaded lawn leading to a sandy beach. Ample Adirondack chairs await you in filtered shade, if you get too hot on the deck. The interior is spacious and the living room has two large, comfortable sofas, a rocking chair and a plush recliner. All situated to view the flat screen TV that has DirecTV access to 141 channels. The dining room area has a convenient pass-through to the kitchen, and the table seats 6. The kitchen has everything. The bathroom is clean and spacious, and includes a washer and dryer. Three bedrooms and a loft provide enough sleep space for 7. One bedroom is tiny, but it is perfectly located looking out over the water to the north. If there was one hiccup, it would be the location of the two other bedrooms. One sits in the center of the cabin, so all traffic has to pass through it. OK if everyone knows each other real well! We would go back here in a heartbeat.
