Our handy man is Ramon, he has been working in the community for over 20 years and with us personally for 9 years. He goes to the house daily to clean the pool and do general maintenance like checking the water levels and taking the trash out. He goes from 7 am to 9 am. Please let me know in advance if you have any inconvenience with this.
Due to the weather during winter, the pool will NOT be heated from NOVEMBER to FEBRUARY.
*Towels and clean linen are provided.
This home tries, but fails. It is in need of some major maintenance that has been delayed. We had a plumber out 3 times for a leaking toilet, the washing machine leaks everywhere, the dishwasher doesn't work, a jacuzzi tub was broken, the water filter doesn't work so there is no potable water from pipes, the pool pump broke and it took a week to fix, and the pool heater broke. It was a huge disappointment for the money. Also please note there is ac in one room. IF everything was fixed/maintained it could be wonderful. I hope that the owners take this into account as simply an honest and constructively critical .review
Right off the bat this house will blow you away. There is a guard stationed at a gate you must enter thru and exit to and from the property. The house is situated on a hill overlooking all of Ensenada and the islands off the coast. If you want to see some spectacular views and sunsets there is no better house in Mexico. The house itself has everything you could ever want and more. The pool was heated, all the appliances are new and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. I traveled here with 9 other friends to celebrate our last spring break before graduation and we had the time of our lives. This house could easily accommodate 15 so with only 10 we had so much room. We went out one night to check out the nightlife in Ensenada but could have honestly stayed at the house the entire weekend because of how much fun we had. I have already recommended this to many friends and family and I guarantee I will be back here again by next year. Joaquin - thanks again for being so nice and helpful!
CASA BLANCO was an excellent choice for our vacation , the house is huge and very comfortable , has everything you need, from dishes, blankets , towels , shampoo , washing machine , dryer, etc. everything to be comfortable in your stay.
I went at Christmas with tremendous cold , but the house is fully equipped with , 3 fireplaces and separate space heater in the house , did not feel one bit cold inside.
outside the incredible home with enough space to play , live , cook , have a barbecue etc.
The view of Ensenada is beautiful up with that view simply makes you happy.
As the host of the house all the time JOAQUIN was on the lookout , from which ask for information until I left the great house.
Ramon like a very attentive all the time with the needs of the home person .
CONCLUSION : Without thinking we would go clear
This house is seriously amazing- the pictures don't do it justice! Not only is it huge but it is beautiful and was PERFECT for our friends-giving weekend away with family and friends. View is phenomenal. And did I mention the water slide? Joaquin was also great to deal with- responsive and courteous, and Ramon was very helpful on the day-to-day stuff. We could have stayed at the house our entire trip without leaving and been perfectly happy, but we ventured out to go wine tasting in the Guadalupe region, which is pretty close to the house. The wineries in that region are awesome- good wine and great views. No question I would highly recommend this for a weekend away with a group of friends or family!
Everything about Casa Blanco was perfect. Well maintained by Ramon. Perfect place for a semi-secluded get away. Highly recommended for a great Mexican vacation.
We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a 4 day long weekend and pictures of it were right on point. The property was very well maintained and clean. I have recommended my family and friends if they visit Ensenada this home is a must. We fell in love with the view and not to memtion the kid friendly pool. We are definitely going back before summer ends!
Sport Fishing :
Sport fishing is big business here. There are a lot of places near the dock to hire a boat and though prices may be negotiable . . . we will give you one example so that you will have an idea of what the going rate is. Boats Juanito has 40' day boats (up to 8 people) available for $750 USD. Expect prices to vary according to the size of the boat, the amount of time you will be out on the water, what you are fishing for (where they need to go), and how many people you have in your fishing party.
Hussongs Cantina in the tourist zone. It is Baja's oldest bar still in use, established in 1892 by a German, Johan Hussong, Some say that Ensenada was built around this bar, it was first used as a stage coach stop and is now a historic landmark. Whether during the day or at night, you'll get a feeling of Old Mexico. Famous for it's original margaritas that were said to be invented.
This area of Mexico has been called "the new Napa Valley" because of its untapped potential as a great wine region. The Mission Santo Tomas de Aquino was the first winery in Baja in 1791, it is located about thirty miles south of Ensenada. Most of the wineries themselves are about a 30-40 minute drive from Ensenada, in the Valle de Guadalupe.
