Why Beth Trebilcock chose Asheville Area

My home is extremely private, up in the woods. Connect with nature in a very serene setting. Kind of like camping with a luxury home.

Relaxing Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family (my parents, my brother, my husband, myself and our dog) stayed at this house from Christmas through New Year's and had a fantastic time! The house was very comfortable and roomy enough that five adults didn't feel like we were falling all over each other all the time. All the beds were comfortable. The basement would be great for children, as there are lots of toys (and a piano!!), but it was also great as an "in-law" suite for my husband who likes to stay up later than the rest of us. Both Beth and Dave were fantastic to work with, and Dave very kindly checked up on us via telephone when the forecast called for storms. We often rent houses in various cities all over the world, and this house is at the top of the list.

For those with pets, Asheville is a very pet friendly city! If you go in the summer, most of the restaurants have pet friendly patios. We went to the River Arts District, where most of the artists allowed us to bring our dog into their studios.

Privacy in the woods

  • 4 of 5

This rental is in a great setting: very private, in a very quiet mountain location, and surrounded by mature hardwood forest. You are completely separated from the other homes in this sparsely-populated development. The gravel road leading to the driveway is somewhat steep and has a few potholes and ruts, so you'll have to take care driving in and out. It's a nice 20-minute drive into Asheville. The house is comfortable and basically clean. It was cool for the time of year and when we turned on the heat, it worked fine. We liked the large walk-in, open shower and the mattress/sheets/pillows in the master bedroom are comfortable. The hot tub is very private and works fine, but the cover is deteriorating and takes two people to remove/replace, we found it was best just to slide it as far as possible to one end without actually removing it. Overall we really enjoyed using the hot tub but we did find some metal (silver) bee bees at the bottom of the tub, which could have been dangerous for footing. Hard to say what these actually were, we put them on the deck. We did have a problem with the refrigerator, the milk and juice we bought froze. We tried turning the control down to its lowest setting, but it seems the control is broken and our stuff was frozen the whole time. We didn't think it was worth contacting the owner for this because we didn't want our stay interrupted, so we made do. We had some issues with the internet connection going in and out. Overall we enjoyed our stay because we value privacy and the remote mountain setting.

Fabulous house and location!

  • 5 of 5

We really loved staying here! We have a 3 year old who went crazy when she saw the playroom. It's in a quiet neighborhood and feels very secluded but is close to Asheville and Fairview was also a lot of fun. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed! Would definitely come back!

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for 4 nights and drove there from South Florida. Our first impression was that the house was very clean and well maintained. We have 2 young children, and the house was perfect for them. The basement had tons of toys and things for them to do. Beth, the owner, kept very good contact with us throughout our stay. She even kept us updated on the snow storm that was headed our way. Overall, this was a perfect home for my family and I would recommend it to anyone headed to that area. Thank you Beth!
