Elegant and romantic yet kid friendly and oh so comfy 3bedroom + bonus room mountain home in very private setting.
Nestled snug in the woods with beautiful winter views and easy access. 15 minutes from downtown Asheville.
Lounge on the hammock on our wrap around deck listening to wildlife.
We would love for you to enjoy our private 8 person hot tub or indoor jacuzzi to rest your weary bones after enjoying the many outdoor/affordable activities nearby.
Every room on the main level has large windows which allow you to enjoy the surrounding woods at all times.
Large family room with queen size futon sleeper and bedroom with 2 twin beds downstairs. Master with queen and second upstairs bedroom has a double bed. Great for two families or large group of adults-- Do not let the size fool you though as this home is also perfect for a romantic getaway.
Our home is modern and clean with updated luxury kitchen and bath.
My home is extremely private, up in the woods. Connect with nature in a very serene setting. Kind of like camping with a luxury home.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home for our vacation in Asheville- it was the perfect location. We had a fantastic time downtown and just spending time together in the house !
Thanks Again !
My family (my parents, my brother, my husband, myself and our dog) stayed at this house from Christmas through New Year's and had a fantastic time! The house was very comfortable and roomy enough that five adults didn't feel like we were falling all over each other all the time. All the beds were comfortable. The basement would be great for children, as there are lots of toys (and a piano!!), but it was also great as an "in-law" suite for my husband who likes to stay up later than the rest of us. Both Beth and Dave were fantastic to work with, and Dave very kindly checked up on us via telephone when the forecast called for storms. We often rent houses in various cities all over the world, and this house is at the top of the list.
For those with pets, Asheville is a very pet friendly city! If you go in the summer, most of the restaurants have pet friendly patios. We went to the River Arts District, where most of the artists allowed us to bring our dog into their studios.
It was a nicely decorated room, cozy wood stove, lots of windows, good size kitchen, dining area, plenty of bedrooms 3 plus a large basement area with another bedroom with 2 twins and pull out futon etc. There was decking all around to look out over the woods. A very nice hot tub outside which we enjoyed with a glass of wine in hand. I walked every morning down the drive and to the bottom of the hill and back up. Wonderful area, got to see some peacocks. No bears visited while we were there. We found the location very central to all the places we wanted to visit. We enjoyed the Netflix movies we found every nite mostly chik flicks because we are the butterfly girls there are four of us age 60-67 The owner had linens and towels available, basic spices and condiments. The property was very clean and welcoming! She even left a bottle of wine, chocolate, and natural goat's milk soap for us!!! She gave me directions from the airport and from my house in TN. She also provided great tips on sights to see in and around Asheville and her tips were great! We loved Bear Wallow Mt. it was a great hike! We also loved the tour of Asheville she recommended. She even had a washer and dryer which one gal used. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family
My families stay here was absolutely wonderful!! Our two kids had a blast exploring the property and using the rope swing. The house was very clean and we were extremely pleased with the kitchen, the second bedroom was perfect for my mother and the kids loved having the basement room which had many toys for them to play with. We had lots of fun making smores at the fire pit. The owner was extremely helpful and accomadating.
This place is a great location in reference to all of the activities indoor and outdoor activities. The owner is very kind and responsive should anything go on. There is a lot od space for group activitiws inside and to feel you still have privacy. But, the upkeep leaves something to be desired. Upon arrival the air was not on (despite 90 degree temp) and house was musty (we had to purchase air fresheners), the asvertised area of the firepit was grown over and rendered unusable (which was fixed mid stay), and the insect and spider population inside and out on the porches was prevalent and overwhelming. The owner warned us that as this is the mountains there would be critters which is understood plus this is not our first mountain get away. But, we weren't prepared for what was there and it took time to render certain spaces usable or we simply couldn't at all. There wasn't a door or not covered in spiders webs, a few wasp nests under the covered porch, and a substantial bee hive where bees could be heard through the kitchen cabinets when agitated. Between the must inside, the not usable firepit, and work to make porch usable it put a damper on the first two days. It may be something having a regular property manager or person checking in on could fix as it looked like no one had been there since the last date six weeks earlier. But, worth mentioning as we had to take time of the vacation to rectify. Beds were very comfortable. Grill is SMALL and charcoal, but works great. Hot tub is a great plus and works great. There is a great forest view but not mountain view. Great view of stars at night. The rental comes with just the basics as to supplies and amenties- no extra towels, toilet paper, pillows, and a hodge podge of kitchen items including kiddie/todler stuff- except wine glasses. Should have what you need, but not fully stocked like some other rentals- so go first then hit th stores for what you need. Good stay, great vacation. Hiccups fixable!
Loved this place. Beautiful views and serene atmosphere. Short drive to all of the amenities of Asheville. Hot tub is a great place o relax after a day of hiking in the mountains.
What a great place for our family get-away. We drove up to the Asheville area from south Florida for spring break. This house had everything we needed. It is a mountain Get -a-way yet still close to the vibrant city of Asheville. The owner not only provided us with a great place to stay but was pleasant and accommodating. The kids loved the play house and the tree swing.
