Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

6 adults shared the house as friends on our vacation. We had plenty of room and really enjoyed ourselves. It rained everyday and the fish wasn't biting but the fire pit and good company was great. The kitchen is also well stock for all your needs.

Great Location for Exploring the Eastern U.P.!

  • 5 of 5

The lodge provides all the comforts of home with a wonderful view of Caribou Lake. The house and grounds are neat and clean; the kitchen is stocked for the gourmet chef. The two of us and our Labrador retriever thoroughly enjoyed the serenity of quiet, early Fall mornings watching the sun rise over the lake and sunsets at the campfire. We appreciated the option of fishing Caribou Lake (public access site just up the road) or a short (10-15-minute) drive to access the St. Mary's River at Raber Bay for muskie/walleye/pike fishing. The freighter watching was a bonus! Exploring the Soo area and Lake Superior is an easy 45 minute drive.

We highly recommend Tyler's Caribou Lake Lodge to those who seek a peaceful, relaxing vacation in the Eastern Upper Peninsula.

A Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I along with our 2 dogs completely enjoyed our short time here in mid-Oct. and felt so at home. Such a peaceful and quiet place that it was hard to leave. The home is very clean with plenty of room. We enjoyed our walks up & down the driveway with the dogs and around the property. Husband did some fishing with no luck but it was peaceful just to sit out in the chairs & look at the scenery. The homemade jam was such a nice & unexpected surprise when we arrived! Had a good laugh with the unexpected snakes on the docks. My husband is deathly afraid of snakes and his face was priceless as he stood completely still in fear. I had to assure him they were fake but it gave us a good laugh. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Great Family Vacation - August 2015

  • 5 of 5

Thanks Laura! We had a great vacation with our family. It was great to be able to have the boat at the dock there and the fire pit. This was our second summer to stay there and it was a lot of fun especially for the kids. The upstairs you had redone since last year is really nice as well. Thank you for the homemade strawberry jam that was there for our arrival as well! Thank you so much for looking for and retrieving the items that got forgotten during our stay! Looking forward to our next stay there at the lodge!

Great Family & Pet Friendly Lake Home

  • 5 of 5

Nice, large, comfortable with every thing you need.

We had 2 adults, 3 kids (6,7,12) and a dog. Plenty of space in this large 'cottage'.

Super pet friendly. Used dock with 19' boat with no issues.

Fished several mornings and caught walleye and pike.
