Rendezvous Villa is one of the nicest villas in Jamaica and located in a great neighborhood,
Google 'rendezvous villa jamaica face book' for some additional pictures.
The villa is within 20 minutes of the islands most popular attractions. Nestled on a hill side above Breezes, Runaway Bay Golf Course and just a few quick minutes to the beach. Once you experience the calm evening breezes and panoramic Caribbean views, you will wonder why you ever considered a sea-side villa.
Rendezvous Villa is spacious, with over 5,200 square feet, five bedrooms that accommodate ten, a large living room, two dining areas (one on the balcony), two large verandas, and a large pool area. Smoking is not allowed inside the villa, however is acceptable on the verandas. Each bedroom has air conditioning, however it is rarely needed. All furnishings are updated on a regular basis and our villa is very well kept.
Rendezvous Villa is a great place for families and friends to vacation in casual comfort. You have the exclusive use of the villa and its private pool. This also means that the full-time staff of three is there for you and only you. So pack your shorts and leave the dress cloths at home. No need to over pack, your staff does all the laundry, ironing, cooking, cleaning, and maintain the pool and grounds. The staff prepares breakfast and dinner and you are on your own for lunch.
The villa is kid friendly and stocked with hi-chair, pack & play, stroller, toys, kids DVD's, pool toys, sand toys for the beach, games, movies, kids plates, cups, etc. Nanny care is available from 9 AM to 6 PM for $250 per week with advance notice.
The golf course and the Cardiff Hall private beach is just a few minutes. The private beach is equiped with chairs, snack bar and showers.
Rendezvous villa is one of the nicest villas in Jamaica. Our rates are very reasonable. We do this to keep our staff occupied and we enjoy sharing this wonderful place with others. There are several villas in the area with equal or higher rates that do not compare.

Douglas and Nicole Schmidt from Nebraska. We have two children, ages 8 and 5. We love Jamaica and the vacations our family have there together. We travel on a regular basis, however we haven't found any place quite like Jamaica.
Doug Schmidt purchased this villa in 2003
We love Jamaica and this is one of the few places that fully staffed villas are common. We've visited staffed villas in other locations and they just aren't the same. We could have purchased a villa on the beach or the golf course, however once you experience the view from Rendezvous you will understand why we made our decision.
The location is great an the staff does a great job. Wonderful meals are served to you on the balcony for breakfast and dinner. The beds are turned down at night, pitchers of ice water are in every room. The size of our villa is a big plus. Over 5,200 sq. ft. gives you plenty of spots to spend time as a group, however you can always find a quiet place to read a book too.
We had never experienced a staff villa vacation prior to this. We have stayed in many VRBO houses in the past, however nothing was quite as enjoyable as this. The staff was great and never in the way. They work from about 9AM to 9PM. The food was wonderful, the villa was spotless and Mr. Lawford makes the best rum punch and bbq ribs and chicken we have ever had. I can't say enough about the beach and the location. The beach was perfect and my wife had a list of things she wanted to do and they were all very close to the villa. We did take a day trip towards the end of our stay, that was about a 2 hour drive there. We left at 9:30 and made it to Ricks for lunch and then made some stops on the way back. It was a good day. We hired Andrew as a driver, Doug set this up for us. He was top notch and we were all very glad we had him as part of our group. I would suggest this place to anyone with a group of friends or a family trip. The house is great and the views of the coast are amazing. We cant wait to get back there.
Villa Rendezvous was the perfect location for our party of 10 (5 Adults and 5 Kids) to use as a base for our exploration of the North Coast of Jamaica.
The owner, Doug, was a very good source of information prior to our arrival, easy to communicate with, made sure that our arrival transportation was seamless, and that we arrived to a fully stocked, spotless villa.
The Villa itself is in a good location, up the hill a ways from the beach, which affords for really good views of probably 10 miles of coastline. The villa's 5 bedrooms, public areas, verandas, pool, grounds, etc. are all top notch, very clean, in very good condition and maintained to a very high standard, you would be hard pressed to find anything that is less than 'excellent' throughout. You are within 30-45 minutes of every attraction you would want to do over the course of the week, and the local beach is great for those days or afternoons that you want to stay local. Good spots for lunch (eat in or take out) are within a 10 minute drive.
The Villa staff each perform their tasks in a friendly, unobtrusive manner, and are really a pleasure to have around. Ms. Tiny and Ms. Betsy prepare a really good variety of meals for breakfast and dinner, so good that we only went out twice for dinner. The service they provide during mealtime is excellent, you are truly a guest and made to feel as such. Lawford maintains the grounds, cleans the pool each day, and does a fine job on the grill. Between the three of them, they keep the place absolutely spotless.
Hiring Andrew for Transportation for the week is a no brainer, he will prove to be your tour guide for the week, and will take you to a good mix of on and off the beaten path spots.
Our entire group of people from age 8 to 76 could not have been happier with our time spent at Rendezvous Villa!
Our 2015 family vacation was enjoyed at Doug's villa and I can not say enough amazing things about this villa! The pictures to not due it justice. The villa is spotless and beautiful. If has everything you could ever want for an amazing week. The pool is sparkling clean and the beach was fantastic. Doug is an excellent owner and was always there to recommend places to go, things to do, or answer any of our questions. The staff is absolutely amazing. Ms. Betsy makes amazing meals totally catered to want you enjoy. We planned on going out for dinners but never did as we couldn't imagine missing her cooking! Ms. Tiny keeps the villa spotless and is there for whatever we need. Lawford keeps the grounds perfect and took us to the beach whenever we wanted to go. They because like family and I can honestly say there where tears when we left. I would recommend this villa to anyone. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return.
I simply can't say enough about Rendezvous Villa. We just completed our 4th stay at Rendezvous, and have already booked our 5th. The villa is perfect for families, and anyone who wants to truly experience Jamaica. We laugh at people who go to the 'all inclusive' resorts and think they have seen Jamaica. Rendezvous is a much better and cheaper way to experience the island. The resorts would love people to believe that staying with them is the best way to visit Jamaica. THEY ARE WRONG!
The staff at Rendezvous are truly wonderful people. If you go, I encourage you to get to know them, talk to them, learn about them. Tiny's food is equally fantastic and authentic. Betsy makes sure that the living space is comfortable. Lawford keeps the grounds beautiful (plus he makes some great bbq ribs, bbq chicken, and some killer rum punch). These people are a big part of the reason we keep coming back, and we look forward to seeing our 'Jamaican family' every year.
I also encourage anyone who goes to Rendezvous to hire Andrew as their driver. It's well worth having someone to take you around, share information about local attractions, history, towns, etc. Also, for families with children, hire Paula as a babysitter. It will seem weird at first (as it did our first year), but you'll see how amazing she is with the kids, and it will be worth it ($250 for the week! No better deal for babysitting). The kids love her, and she even calls them on their birthdays now.
The villa itself is absolutely beautiful. The owner (Doug) just completed some renovations, and the place is truly deluxe. It is very family friendly. Toys/games/movies for kids. Plus, the pool area is fantastic, and separated by a staircase and a locked door, so young children can't accidentally make their way to the pool area without adult supervision.
This year, we arrived a day early, and we reluctantly had to get a different villa in Montego Bay for a night before heading to Rendezvous. It was then that we realized just how special Rendezvous is. While the MB villa was very nice, it didn't even compare to Rendezvous. We agreed that had our MB villa been our first villa experience in Jamaica, we likely wouldn't be coming back every year, even thought it was a nice place.
Finally, Doug (the owner) is very responsive and easy to work with. He gave us a lot of ideas and thoughts before our first trip there 4 years ago.
I encourage anyone traveling to Jamaica to stay at Rendezvous Villa.
We were a family with 2 adults and 4 children, ages 8 to 18. When we arrived, we all stood on the balcony for at least 30 minutes and just stared at the view, pictures do not do it justice. We continued to enjoy that view every morning with our coffee and meals were served on the balcony too. The bedrooms are spacious and so are the living areas. The villa has been updated and we were pleasantly surprised. (the old pictures looked great, but you need to update these when you have time). I read another review that commented on the beach and feel that it is worth mentioning. Being from California & seeing lots of beaches in our day, this beach was wonderful. You pull right up to it in the golf cart and you are on the beach. We are used to parking a mile away & hiking it in. In addition, we had never seen a white sand beach that had lots of amazing trees on it. Plenty of sun, don't worry about that, but shade on a beach is something we had never seen before. Two attendants there got us chairs & were busy taking care of it all day. I went with the driver to a local Jerk restaurant and we brought lunch back to the beach, there are a few tables there to eat on too. The pool at the villa was great and we spent some time there too. We hired Andrew to be our driver & he was a great guy & we would suggest a driver to anyone staying there or anywhere in Jamaica. He got us where we needed to go & we didn't have to worry about a thing. We enjoyed plenty of activities & usually got out of the house around 10am and were home by 4pm, it was great. Dunns River, Blue Hole, Dolphin Cove, a quick drive through Fern Gully and we stopped at Wassi Pottery, Bamboo raft ride down the Martha Brae & then we did a day trip to Negril. We left the villa at 9:30 and arrived at Ricks Cafe for lunch and watched the cliff divers. Two hours at Ricks & then headed back (not much to do in Negril) We did stop at Margaritaville for about 30 minutes in Negril, nice beach, but very busy. Then we stopped for an hour at Margaritaville in Montego Bay, then arrived at the villa at 5:30 that evening. My final comments will refer to the amazing staff. They are so nice and did a wonderful job. Our kids loved all of them & Lawford is a very special man & talented with his BBQ grill. Betsy and Ms. Tiny kept the house spotless and forgot nothing. Thank you Doug for always being so available and answering my 1000 questions and thank you for sharing this special place.
8 of us stayed for 7 nights and upon arrival we couldn't not have been happier with the villa. It has been recently renovated and the pictures on line are not up to date yet. The villa looks great and I know everyone else has said it, but the views and the staff were perfect. Lawford made us rum punch all week, Betsy and Ms. Tiny kept the house spotless and the food was great too. The beach is like something out of a story book. Quiet, shade trees and there was a reef just off the beach for some snorkeling too. We did hire the driver for the week and very glad we did. He was great to have around for the few trips we had, but nice to have for running to the store or to change money. We originally planned on eating out a few nights during our stay, however the cooking was so good we didn't. We were close to the beach, close to Ocho Rios and the airport was under one hour away. The villa was very spacious and the rooms were a nice size and very comfortable. We loved our stay and hope to return soon. Thanks to Doug for all the help planning our trip and thanks to the staff for all the TLC you gave us during our stay.
Swim with the dolphins, Canopy Tours / Zip lines, Calypso Bamboo Rafting, River Tubing, Cave Tours, Horse Back Riding, Margaritaville, Craft Market, Fern Gully, Wassi Pottery, ATV Tours, Jeep Safari, Tree Top Canopy Tour and Many More. Days at the beach and villa are nice too. ALl of the above is 30 minutes or less away. We are fortunate to be in a great location.
