Pelican Point is a small, gated condo community situated on the Intracoastal Waterway and Indian River Lagoon, the most biologically diverse estuary in North America. There are myriad ways to enjoy the natural resources of this unique environment. In a 15 minute drive you can be in Canaveral National Seashore and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Thousands of waterfowl, birds, and stork use the Wildlife Refuge as a stopover during the winter and many stay 'year round. View gators, otter and bald eagles, too, as you cruise Black Point Wildlife Drive.
All major theme parks, outlet malls, Cirque du Soleil, Downtown Disney, outstanding restaurants, golf and fishing are nearby. If you purchase a Florida fishing license you can throw a line from the seawall at our condo and reel in dinner or go fishing with a guide.
For a fun and educational experience, tour NASA's launch headquarters at Kennedy Space Center. It's a quick 10 minute drive. See live shows, try out interactive simulators; watch an IMAX movie and learn about space exploration.
Our waterfront 2 bedroom/2 bath unit is completely furnished. You'll sleep soundly on queen beds with thick, firm mattresses and soft linens. There is ceramic tile throughout our bright and sunny condo, and we offer high speed internet, WI-FI, & super cable. The living room has a 40" flat screen HDTV and the guest room a 32". Best of all are the terrific water views. You can watch rocket launches and see pelicans, dolphin and osprey fish from your screened porch!
A fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator w/ice maker, stove, toaster oven, toaster, blender and coffee maker. The living room has a double sleeper sofa with linens for the occasional guest. Our Pub table in the dining area seats four. The master bathroom has been completely remodeled this year and includes a tiled shower stall, granite vanity and chair height toilet. The guest bath has a full tub and shower.
When the water stays above 68 degrees, you'll have the opportunity to see our endangered Florida manatees. There are plenty of closeup viewing areas nearby. Late spring and summer is turtle nesting season when over 5000 endangered and threatened, giant leatherback, green and loggerhead sea turtles crawl ashore at night to nest in Canaveral National Seashore. For an unforgettable experience, make reservations-to accompany a Park Ranger on a turtle watch at night and observe these ancient creatures lay a clutch of over 100 eggs then laboriously camouflage them before returning to the sea. Year 'round you can find plenty to do in our area. We know you'll love what we have to offer. And the sunshine will make you happy.
We bought the property which came with a year round tenant (6 years). Upon opening the front door we loved the beautiful view of the water. Originally, plans were to retire here, but my husband's health has deteriorated and unfortunately we are not able to do so. We decided to share this wonderful property with friends and tenants who have become friends.
The views are just outstanding. The unit is bright, cheerful and comfortable and offers a great location from which to venture out to explore neighboring wildlife refuges, the beach, and theme parks.
Airports in Sanford, Merritt Island and Orlando International are convenient as are shopping, golfing and certainly fishing.
My family and I just relocated to Florida and was looking for a furnished place to stay while we were waiting to close on our new home. This was the perfect place to call home for a couple of months. The view from the 3rd floor is amazing! My daughter sat on the balcony and watched dolphins play in the water next us. This is also a great place to watch rockets launch across the water. The condo is close to Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, and Orlando is only about 40 minutes away. The condo is fully equipped with pots, pans, and dishes so you can prepare your own meals like you are at home. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to vacation in the area.
We wanted a pleasant place to rest from the winter with quiet accommodation near nature. We had a lovely view from the patio windows which look out on the balcony from both the bedroom and the living room. Because the building is so close to the water, we could see only water like balcony views on a cruise ship. We saw birds, fish and animals from the windows. We also watched a rocket launch almost directly across the water from us.
We traveled a short distance to Merritt Island, Canaveral National Seashore, and Blue Spring State Park. In a short drive you can get to remote unpopulated areas and enjoy the quiet of nature, or you can see manatees in their natural habitat in Blue Spring State Park.
The condo gated community has very little to offer except a swimming pool, shuffleboard court and small clubhouse. But the residents are very friendly and spend much time socializing outside the community. This means that the days tend to be quiet. The pool is two buildings away, so it would be unlikely to hear any noise from the pool. This worked well for us because we appreciate a quiet environment.
The condo is nicely decorated; the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances; the beds and sofa are comfortable.
The condo is close to Orlando and other cities. It is only a few miles to the Cruise Port at Canaveral.
I would recommend this condo to nature lovers. It is hard to imagine a condo so close to nature but also so close to major population areas in Florida. We never felt that we were in a densely populated area. We could enjoy the birds, fish and animals that we saw from the balcony but be only a few minutes away from major attractions.
But you do need a car; even local restaurants and grocery stores are too far to walk to, and the sidewalks are interrupted or non-existent.
This January was perhaps colder than normal, but we had the patio doors slightly open and the heat off for 3 weeks in the month. Of course, being from the north, we were acclimatized to colder weather; the locals found the weather cold.
The balcony faces north, probably an advantage in the summer but possibly a disadvantage in the winter. It is screened in so bugs are not a problem. The balcony is recessed into the apartment between the bedrooms of the units. This means that you cannot see people on neighboring balconies, and it is unlikely that you would hear them because there is a bedroom between each unit.
This is the second year that my husband & I spent the month of March at Pelican Point.
We have been very pleased with the unit ... extremely clean, nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The owners have been so accommodating and I can't say enough how wonderful and welcoming the people are who reside/rent at the condo complex.
We highly recommend this condo to anyone interested in vacationing in the Titusville area.
Very nice place. I was very happy there for the 45 days I stayed.
Best I found in the area and condo turned out great.
Cozy and clean apartment with great views over the water.
Beautiful environment for everyone who loves peace an nature.
We have been a month and had a great time.
The owners are very helpful.
A family from Holland
My husband and I spent the month of January at this condo. Titusville is a great location on the east coast of Florida and Pelican Point is very convenient in this
area. The owners included many amenities such as WiFi which helped out with our laptop. It is well equipped especially in the kitchen. The unit is close to fishing, walking and visiting Merritt Island for the wildlife and space center. Day trips can be taken up and down the coast with a quick return at night.
All in all this is a positive place to stay for a month or even more.
