About Loren Boe

I moved to the lake in 1996 with the project of building this custom home. I bought the property for the views of the lake. It has been a dream home to build with all stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops and we built our custom dining furniture. We also wanted large bedrooms so you have plenty of space. We love to enjoy the lake during all seasons of the year. You can see Bald Eagles, hawks and too many wild birds to name in addition to deer, rabbits and those long horned cows that graze in the area.

Loren Boe purchased this house in 1996

Why Loren Boe chose Central Coast California

This lake is wonderful all year round for family fun and activities. It is a plus that the wineries and olive ranches are all over the surrounding areas. We love all the wildlife in the area and the small town feeling of Paso Robles. You can mountain bike, hike, jog, fish, and boat.

What makes this house unique

You can enjoy the privacy of our home and feel like you are on top of the world with the views and amenities. You can relax at the home or down on our dock. We have plenty of space for parking vehicles and RV's. ATV's and motorcycles are welcome

Naci at its best!

  • 5 of 5

I've been going to Naci for over 20 years and this was the best trip yet. What an incredible home with views for days. Great double decker dock with good lakeside access, just a short drive down a dirt road from the home. A little bumpy in spots, but well worth it considering the payoff when you get down to the lake. Located inside the 5mph zone in Las Tablas, we enjoyed boating, swimming, paddle boarding and good times with friends and family for an entire week. And once the day came to an end, it was a pleasure to return to this huge and accommodating home to enjoy the views and sunsets night after night. We had 4 families with 8 adults and 8 children, and there was plenty of room for all. Come fully provisioned for your stay, as the nearest store is 2 hours roundtrip and the marina store offers limited supplies. Just as well, as once you get there you won't want to leave. Good thing is that there is a commercial ice maker in the garage to keep your coolers and cocktails cold day in and day out. The owners (#boedogs) are very accommodating and the experience from reservation, to arrival, to departure was a breeze. Already planning our next trip for next year and looking forward to many more return visits in the future.

Amazing place to stay!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed here for a family vacation. There were 16 of us and the house had plenty of space for all of us. The house is beautiful and has plenty of activities for all kids(ages 2-13 in our group). The lake is a very close drive and we had a blast swimming/kayaking/stand up paddling there. Would recommend this place.

Great quiet retreat!

So peaceful, and What A View!

  • 5 of 5

Spent a long weekend here and wanted a house to accommodate a large group comfortably. This was the perfect place for us. We enjoyed the dock during the day and had plenty of room in the house for all of us at night. I could spend hours on the deck just enjoying the view. Thank You for sharing your house with us.

Cynthia was great and the property was amazing overall with everything we needed for a group of 13. The back yard had a great view and inside was perfect with tons of space. Very nicely maintained. Highly recommended!

secluded, breathtaking getaway

  • 4 of 5

This house is well designed and spacious, with bedrooms tucked away and a very large common dining, recreation and kitchen area overlooking the outdoor decks and beautiful view of the lake below. It's about a 20 minute hike down a steepish road to the edge of the water, as the lake is sadly low from the drought. You can also drive down in a few minutes right up to the water. Its barren scenery these days, but so very peaceful and quiet. We were the only people attempting to fish (without a single bite) for days.

The house has everything you need. Ample sheets and towels and everything you could possibly want in the massive kitchen. Things were somewhat hard to find only because of the dozens of cupboards, but made for a fun game when cooking. There is a hot tub outside on the deck that our kids enjoyed despite the frigid temps. Stargazing at night was a treat.

The owners were very responsive by text, with a solution for any question. Very down to earth seeming people.

Its worth a mention that this house is secluded. For us city slickers, it was an appreciable drive to town (about 40 minutes on mostly windy roads), and therefore challenging for carsick-prone kids. We were well prepared with food and wine, so we opted to hunker down for the days. Kids entertained themselves by the lake and on walks, as well as with the hot tub, foosball table, and pool table. The only outings by foot are walks around the roads and to the lake. Shorter drives took us to wineries nearby, but we had to take turns given kid duties at home.

We were five families, nine adults and six kids. We rent a big house every year and this was one of the most beloved by our group for its total package offerings- space, layout, scenery, and inter-distance between LA and San Francisco. My husband already wants to come back in the summer or when the fish are biting.

Why not five stars you ask? Some of the decor is a little dated (who cares), and the house is well worn. Feels less like a hotel, more like staying at a relative's place. It was clean, which counts the most.

Things to bring: laundry detergent, shampoo and soap, towels for the lake, games, dvds, and reading material (unless of course you, like me, don't mind reading People magazines from 2012). Tap water is fine to drink, but if you are spoiled by Bay Area water you may find it tastes a little less yummy than home. There is more refrigerator and freezer space than you can fill up,so pack it in!
