Wonderful stay in Solar Cabim
This little cabin was so quaint and quiet! Just what we needed to get away and enjoy nature! Cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Wonderful fire pit and beautiful swing to enjoy the quiet! The Host, Brad was excellent! We enjoyed our stay very much!
The property was exactly as described. Using the solar, generator, and fireplace was very easy with the notes provided. The property was a beautiful place to stay for a few days. My son had fun in the wooded lot the hiking trails were great. I did get lost going to the property; however, it was completely my fault we arrived in the evening when it was completely dark and it was just unknown at the time. The property manager came to our rescue and got us to the cabin. A special thank you for that!
Overall, it was a nice escape
My husband and I love nature and needed to get away from life with infant twins and a toddler. After a long drive into the evening hours and exciting adventure making it up the steep hills to the cabin, we were very excited to see the surrounding area when the sun came up. The cabin was really quaint and cute but I was disappointed to see the old deteriorating cabins and campers in the immediate vicinity of our cabin. I was expecting to be completely away from civilization and those eye sores took away from the view. The generator/solar options were easy to navigate and we were able to run the generator for a few hours a day and have enough charge in the batteries to power our phones (even though we had no signal), watches and music speaker we brought. The water pump was loud when we flushed the toilet or used the sink, but it was not bad considering we were off grid and able to use an indoor bathroom. The showers were cold, and we were only able to get one warm shower out of four attempts. I didn’t get really upset about it because again, we chose a cabin off grid and warm showers are not usually possible in frozen climates with no power. We did keep the carbon monoxide detector close because it went off each time we would try to take showers back to back. We’d open all the doors (even though it was 20 degrees) and air the place out until the alarm stopped. Then we would try to get warm water at separate occasions to wash. The neighboring little towns were charming and the people were all so polite. This little cabin was stocked with everything we could need and we were very impressed with the hospitality. Overall, we loved hiding away in the woods together at this cute little cabin. We will probably choose to go off grid next time in summer months, as it was a little uncomfortable doing so in the winter.
Lovely place. We would recommend some grading of gravel driveways/access for those of us without 4-wheel drive :)
Off the grid Family Fun!
This sweet little cabin was so clean and completely stocked with all the essentials. The owners have really put a lot of thought and care into every aspect of this cabin. Our little family enjoyed the off the grid experience and getting away from the fast paced world we live in. Who needs cell service or WiFi when you have such beautiful scenery around you. We will definitely be back.
