About Katie Price
We are retired living in Crawfordville GA, about an hour west of Augusta. We bought the property in October of 2014 as a vacation destination and an investment. We spent 8 months working to bring it up to our standards of comfort and appeal, doing most of the work ourselves. Everett is the remodeling expert, Katie is the landscape and interior designer, and photographer. We hope our visitors will enjoy the cabin as much as we do.

Why Katie Price chose Northside
We were charmed by this home the first time we saw it. Having been built in the early 20th century, it is much older than the subdivision that was developed around it in the '40s and '50s. It is close to the Jacksonville airport, 3 minutes off of I-95, 15 minutes from downtown, Everbank Field, and riverfront attractions. The beach is only a 30 minute drive. Yet when you reach the cabin, you feel you're away from it all. Views of the Ribault (REE-bawt) River from most rooms. Across the river is tidal marsh filled with birds; manatees and dolphins can be seen from time to time. Heavy woods beyond the marsh make the property feel very private. Observing the ebb and flow of the tide gives you an ever-changing view. There are even two crab traps! Fishing off of the dock does not require a state license. NOTE: There is a second house on the property which is leased to a nice, quiet young couple. They have a small dog that stays inside most of the time. We think we have provided sufficient privacy between the houses that you shouldn't find things uncomfortable. Becoming vacation home owners and landlords at the same time has been an interesting experience.
What makes this Cabin unique
Secluded location. Charming log cabin interior. Large private, fenced yard. Excellent boating and fishing destination. Great for kayaking and paddleboarding in the marshes at high tide. Property includes covered double boat dock with two 10,000 lb. boat lifts one of which is available to guests, fish cleaning station, double hammock, and kayak/canoe launch site. Public boat ramp 1/4-mi upriver, 40 minutes by boat to the ocean, 25 minutes to downtown Jacksonville where boaters can tie up almost anywhere. Watching sunsets from either of the decks or the dock is a very special experience!

The views were great. The neighborhood getting to the house seemed not well cared for but the house was worth getting there. The family room ceiling is not insulated so it was hot and hard to cool in the 100 degree weather.
Great fishing location.
This house is much bigger than the pictures show. There is an extra room off the master bedroom which works well for a nursery if you have small children because there is no windows so they take long naps. The fishing is good here which entertained the men while the women took a drive to the beach. The house is very comfortable but the air works much better in the master bedroom side of the house. The main part and the other bedroom get warm during the heat of the day. The neighbors are very quiet and even though it looks as if the house is not in the best neighborhood we never felt scared. We accidentally left our fishing poles behind for the next renters and we caught some good ones so maybe you will have good luck also.
Music and Golf
This was an Awesome mens weekend of Golf and Music at Rockville! The place was quiet which was perfect for our late nights. Coffee on the deck in the mornings and beer ant night made for a memorable stay. Thank you Katie!
Had a great time! We loved the outdoor spaces! So peaceful and the sunsets were wonderful! Thank you!
The "cabin" was perfect!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at this very comfortable cabin overlooking the river. Very quiet and peaceful and close to all the attractions we wanted to see: World Golf Hall of Fame, St. Augustine Old City, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, River Walk Amelia Island....we enjoyed them all!
Thanks for a delightful time. Gary & Ann; Durham, NC
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come again!
Quiet place to sleep
It was a rustic, cozy stay. Perfect if you just want to crash for a night . Wasn't a fan of the ants everywhere.
Boys enjoyed fishing off the back docks, and it's nice sitting while enjoying a drink'n book!
Close to anywhere a vacationer would like including beaches, parks,
I'm so sorry you had an ant problem! We have the cabin treated regularly, but sometimes weather, or other conditions, bring them inside.
We are happy you enjoyed your stay otherwise and hope you will visit again!
