Our family of 6 adults 4 children stayed comfortably in this home. The communication was great from Terry and Charlotte, and Shel Haven canoe and kayak rentals were so kind and helpful. The Manistee River is beautiful, we adore the sauna, and the home is very comfortable and has absolutely everything you need. Only complaint is the road noise.
This was the perfect place for us to stay. Our family came from all over the country for a wedding in Grayling. It was so nice to be able to spend time together. We enjoyed sitting out on the dock and watching the kayaks and rafters go by. Terry and Charlotte were easy to work with. The cabin had everything we needed. I would recommend Charterallamimac on Manistee River.
This was our second stay at this charming home! There is so much to do right on the property. We went tubing, played yard games, and then in the evening we enjoyed the games in the lower level. The home is very well equipped and very clean. We will book here again!!!
Wonderful experience. Terry and Charlotte were very easy to work with. The house is in great conditon, and we'll set-up for a group outing.
Charterallamimac is perfect for kayaking the Manistee. Since the weather was still cooler, we put in at the 612 bridge. Total trip was a little less than 4 hours back to the cabin. If the weather had been warmer, we probably would have started up at the Cameron Rd bridge. For those who don't have their own kayaks or don't want to mess with multiple vehicles, there is a canoe/kayak livery walking distance away (Shel-Haven).
The cabin had everything we needed and more. The sauna was perfect in the cool evenings. We're just disappointed that we didn't have enough time for a Ping-Pong tournament. We would definitely stay here again when back in the Grayling area, but hopefully for longer next time.
What a wonderful home away from home. We had all 11 members of our family stay at this beautiful home on the river . From here we traveled around northern Michigan and returned "home" to a very comfortable and well equipped resting place. We enjoyed the river, playing pool, ping pong, cards, roasting marshmallows over the fire. We hope to return again.
